Pet care experience
Hello! I am a dog and cat CPR and First Aid Certified pet sitter with a passion for animal welfare. I have experience with large breeds! I have two dogs: a Yorkshire terrier and a Pitbull terrier. I have logged over 250 hours of walking/socializing/enriching dogs at the local animal shelter since March 2022! I’m incredibly passionate about animal welfare and have received specialized dog behavior training from certified Behaviorists. I am also on the foster team and will foster dogs when time allows.
Reviews
Katie was great. She was on time and I know my pup was excited to see her. I am thankful she was able to help last minute I highly recommend.
Thanks so much! You did amazing.
Katherine did an outstanding job taking our pup, Austin, for walks while we were in town for a family gathering.
This was our first time using Rover, or any pet-sitter, and Katherine made it worry-free! She took pics everyday and left a note on her last day. We will definitely be using her again!

Safety, trust & environment
I always let the dogs out first thing in the morning and give breakfast immediately after. My dogs are spoiled and get treats/chews/stuffed kongs throughout the day with potty breaks every 2-4 hours.
Information Katherine W. would like to know about your pet
I do have some experience with special-needs dogs during my time volunteering at the shelter. The most important thing is to have clear instructions written out as well as a meet and greet so that nothing is missed!
A typical day
I’m a huge believer in dog enrichment! Playing sniffing games, marking trails, down to letting your pup sniff anything/everything on the walk is so important for their mental stimulation! Not only that, but I’ve received training in dog behavior from the Behavior Department at the shelter I volunteer for. Are they dedicated retrievers? Avid wrestlers? Couch potatoes? I’m comfortable with anything that will get that doggie energy out in a safe and healthy manner.

Availability
I am a full-time nursing student and am fortunate enough to walk dogs when I am not studying! I have little restriction in my availability.
