Where your pet is like family!
Pet care experience
I love animals of all kinds and have a special place in my heart for senior pups. I’ve had Boston terriers, boxers, labradors, and a few rescue mixes as family members over the years. Each has had his/her own personality and preferences! When I look for someone to care for my own pets, I look for someone who is trustworthy, dependable, and kind with animals. In caring for your pet, I strive for the same care that I would want my own pet to receive. I can administer medicine, follow special diets, and of course, provide lots of love!
Reviews
As always, Buddy had a great time! Katherine, her family, and their dog Dixie are amazing- so happy we found them!
This is the second time that Katherine and her family have watched our dog, Buddy. They are amazing! They seamlessly welcomed Buddy into their family and took him on many adventures, whether it was playing in the yard, playing with the neighborhood kids, going to the farmers market, and even to see an Army/Navy baseball game! We forgot to pack Buddy’s harness and Katherine went out of her way to make sure she found one that fit Buddy. Katherine’s kids are the sweetest, also, and treat Buddy with tons of love. Katherine sends a ton of photos throughout the visit. We can recommend Katherine and her family enough!
Our boys love to be with Katherine and her family! We are always afraid they might not want to come home with us afterwards. 10/10 recommend!
If I could give them a 100 star I would! The BEST dog sitters ever. They treat your dogs as their own. They took our dogs on constant trail walks, played with them a bunch and even baked them pup cookies. Ozzy and Bradley had so much fun with their family and even looked sad to leave! Can’t wait for Ozzy and Bradley to stay there again.

I am also able to accommodate different needs or alter activities depending on age/personality traits as we've done with our own pets over the years. For day care or overnight stays, our clean and comfortable home has a large (unfenced) yard set back in a quiet neighborhood. We go for regular walks through the neighborhood and its wooded trails, and always stay with your pet while outside in our yard. We have a black lab who is very easygoing and two cats (outdoor in day/in their own space at night). We are able to use crates if you have one and prefer to use one; otherwise, there are pet beds and cozy spots to relax throughout our home. Some fur babies go with me room to room, while others find a place to curl up and sun bathe when we are indoors or on the deck. My children love animals, as well, and may accompany me occasionally on walks or for a drop-in. Please let me know if this is not a match for your pup. For overnights or day care, your pet must be kid-friendly (my children are very kind and loving with animals). :)

Information Katherine V. would like to know about your pet
Whether your dog is comfortable around younger children, any activities he/she likes (walks, play ball, water, belly scratches/being brushed), and anything unique to their personality or habits (e.g., dislikes hoses). For day care or overnights: Same as above, and also their typical routine at home (meals, activities, bathroom habits) and whether they use a kennel/crate or are comfortable out in the house if we run out for an errand. If overnight, sleep routine at home.
A typical day
I can easily adapt a visit to your pups’ preferences, depending on age/personality. With overnights and day care, we can walk (or be carried) in our neighborhood and on its' wooded trails, play in our (unfenced) private yard, and/or they can lounge in the puppy pool during summer or snuggle in dog sweaters on chilly days. Some pups love to relax while others could play fetch all day!

Availability
My daytime schedule is flexible from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm for walks and drop-ins. For overnights and day care, I am available from 7 am to 7 pm. Older pups often need to go out more often and some dogs are on strict time schedules for meds or food, which are all very doable as I am home much of the day.
