Hi! I’m Kat, I’ve had animals of all kinds since before I could walk, and I intend to have them until I can no longer walk. I’ve only recently moved to Charlotte from Connecticut for work, and on top of getting to know the area, I’ve been anxious to get to know the dogs in the area and potentially make some new furry friends for myself and my dogs. Right now, I have two dogs of my own, Mr. Darcy (a redbone coonhound/beagle) and Georgiana(we’re told she’s a hound of some kind); both rescues who happen to be from Charlotte. We enjoy long trips to dog parks and making new friends. Furry and otherwise. As for my history with animals and pet care, I grew up on farms with mostly horses, cows, goats, dogs, and cats. I took 4 years of animal science in the Vocational Agriculture program and am also certified in pet CPR and First Aid. On top of formal education, I have also been fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to Guatemala multiple times to volunteer with Animal A.W.A.R.E at their shelter. My services include drop-in visits, walks, boarding, and house sitting. I have standard rates but each service can be modified to include or exclude other things based on pet and owner needs and requests. Hikes, dog parks, play dates, etc. Always feel free to make requests:) -Drop in Visits: $18 for 30 minutes with your pet. Either out in the yard or otherwise. Dog Walk: $18 for 30 minute walk. With Dog Walking, this is where you can also request a hike or specific location your dog may like - House Sitting standard rate is $30/night, which includes me staying with your pet for a 10hr span at night where they’ll get cuddled and loved in the comfort of their own home. Dog Boarding: Your pet will spend their time with Mr. Darcy, Georgie, and myself in our home while you relax on vacation it fulfill other personal and/or professional commitments. With a fenced in back yard and lots of space and furniture for your pet to climb on, you’ll be able to sleep easier while you’re away.
