Pet care experience
I’ve been a dog owner myself my entire life including a variety of breeds from small (chihuahuas and morkies) to large (Irish wolfhounds). Currently my husband and I have 5 rescued babies that are mixes of pit bulls and a hound. I have often assisted friends and neighbors with their fur family members including walks, overnight stays and popping in to play/feed/let out.

All I need to do is say Katie is coming and my Labrador goes crazy wild. Sitting by the door crying until she arrives, running around my dining room table! OMG! He loves her and do drop. She speaks to him in a calming manner and when he comes home to me he’s ready for a good nap!! Great person , knowledgeable, kind and fabulous with with my boy Rocco. I am so very happy to have found her… and she lives nearby!! Woohoo!!

We are so happy with Katie and her amazing care of our pup! Katie took the time to get to know Molly, sent regular updates of her, and gave her lots of love. She left no evidence of staying at our house except for our well cared for pup. We were able to rest easy knowing Molly was in good hands! We will happily use Katie again.
Katie is a knowledgable and reliable pet sitter. I am so happy to have someone I can trust with my two dogs. Even when I am in a pinch, she is always there to stop by and let them out or even take them for walk. She even sends me pictures of them! I have one dog who is on daily medication and she has no problem giving it to her. I know when I am not home, my dogs are in great hands. End of the day, she treats them just like her own. My fur babies love her!

My dogs are my family and have open reign to the house. However, I understand some limitations exist given every families’ individual needs and the needs of their fur babies. I’m comfortable crating dogs if that is the preference of the family before I depart. My dogs are given the occasional treat including some homemade snacks like doggie ice cream. I am happy to share if the family is looking to treat their pup, given the dog’s diet allows.

Please inform me of feeding regimens, potty breaks, bedtime routines/locations, and favorite playtime activity. Let me know if you dog has special needs or behaviors I should account for. I am open to any preferred instructions left by the family as long as they are ethical.
A typical day
I love to play with my pups and will give your furry friend the same attention. Tug-o-war is a favorite along with ample walks weather permitting.

Availability
I’m working full time but my hours are typically 7am - 2:30pm. During the summer I have all evenings free and will update for fall come September. Most weekends I can make myself available with advance notice. If you live close by and would prefer a lunchtime walk/check-in I can work with you to arrange as I do work from home a few days a week.
