If your pet needs food and attention at all. Never hire Katherine. In the 19 hours Katherine "watched" our puppy, our dog spent 16 hours in her crate, which is blatantly against our care instructions. She showed up an hour and 15 minutes later than I told her to. She lied about feeding our dog, claiming she had fed Moose a full meal on Saturday morning even though there was a full bowl of food left when we got back home from the emergency vet with our dog that night (this ends with an emergency vet visit…good thing Katherine has “animal hospital experience”). Saturday, October 14, She locked our 11 month old dog in a crate for 7 hours, having not attempted to feed her breakfast and despite our care instructions saying she can be left alone for an absolutely maximum of 4 hours. Our puppy has NEVER been in her crate for more than 4 hours at a time, and is very much used to being out and around our home with company as we both work from home. Our dog tears things up and eats them if left alone for too long or if she is lonely or in distress, sometimes just for fun, too. This, again, is clear in our instructions and warnings. During the 7 hours our dog was left alone and locked up, she destroyed her bed, swallowing a lot of memory foam in the process. Of all the things our dog has tried to destroy, her bed was never one of them. It was her bed since the day we brought her home; she healed from surgery on that puppy bed, and it was her comfort spot. Had I not seen the bed destroyed and caught Katherine on camera, I'm certain she would have lied about it happening at all. I called her as soon as I saw this happen and she lied to me on the phone about how long she had been gone. When I told her we have cameras, she changed the time she had been gone but still failed to admit just how long it had been. Our dog has severe gut issues and had intestinal surgery as a puppy making her prone to blockages. Katherine would have known had she bothered to read or care about a single thing we said. While other dog owners might not panic if a dog swallows some memory foam, our dog is at high medical risk for complications due to this. My husband and I were literally sick with worry. We ended up having to LEAVE OUR FRIEND'S WEDDING CELEBRATION and come back to Greenville from Columbia to take the dog to the ER to get X-rays making sure she didn't have an intestinal blockage per the emergency vet recommendation and the standard procedure you're supposed to follow if your dog swallows a foreign body. We ended up stuck with a $$$ vet bill after she had to get X-rays due to the fact that we had no idea how long ago she had swallowed everything. Thank goodness Moose was able to safely pass all of the foam she did in fact swallow, but can you freaking imagine if she hadn't been able to??? The lack of care is absolutely disgusting. Our dog now will not sleep in her crate and absolutely panics when we leave. It has really thrown a huge wrench in our lives not just financially due to the vet bill she never offered to pay for even though it was directly due to her negligence and lack of care, but also emotionally. We have fought to keep our puppy healthy even with all of the complications we've had, and investing money into someone we thought we could trust only to have it absolutely explode in our faces felt like a total nightmare. Not to mention, Katherine never apologized to us when we finally met her at the ER, and hasn't bothered to check to see if our dog ended up okay. This is a pet owner's nightmare. Never hire Katherine, unless of course your dog can entirely take care of themselves and can make their own food or whatever. Absolutely sick.

Katherine was so great! This was my first time leaving my diabetic cat who requires insulin since his diagnosis and Katie made me feel at such ease! She was attentive in reporting his numbers, sending pics, and giving both of my cats some love! Will definitely be using Katie again (literally this weekend lol).

Our dogs absolutely love Katie! She has been so hopeful taking them for walks, helping with feedings, and even staying over while we're out of town. Her experience in animal healthcare puts our mind at ease that the dogs are well taken care of. Katie's the best and would recommend to anyone!

Katherine did a fantastic job taking care of my cat Tux while I was away. She showed him so much love and went above and beyond. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who wants the peace of mind knowing their fur baby is in good hands while they are away.
