Pet care experience
I am 38 years old and have owned dogs all my life (I am a dog mom to a 6 year old husky that LOVES other dogs). Dogs and dog memes are a huge weakness of mine. I believe strongly in positive reinforcement and redirection as opposed to punishment. I work from home Monday through Friday so I am home most of the time. I do have two cats, so I need assurance that your dog has bend around cats and acts appropriately around them. If your dog does not do well with cats I will have to politely decline. I work from home so I take frequent breaks to take the dogs on walks or to the dog park and they’ll have company almost all day long. Safety is number one. I am diligent to watch for signs that a dog is uncomfortable so I can better the situation or avoid stressors (like crossing to the other side of the street while on walks or politely declining requests for pets if the dog isn’t 100% on board). While in my home they will have company nearly all the time since I work from home.

Katherine watched our Olly dog and he was a happy camper! We did a meet and greet and Olly got along great with her pup and cats. Katherine took him on an adventure to hood river and was verycommunication back and forth! Olly is excited to spend time another time soon! xoxo

Katherine (Kati) is one of the most responsible people I know. She is extremely caring and loves animals. I have spent time with her and her pets as well as other people’s pets (while she was pet sitting, etc.). She is very considerate and trustworthy. I can’t recommend her enough. She’s the best!!
Kati is the most caring and loving doggy mama I know. Her two gorgeous huskies have a wonderful home and are spoiled with her huge backyard where they get to run and play all day. Your furry loved ones will be very well taken care of in her hands. I would leave my dog with her for extended periods in a heartbeat!

I don’t have any breed preferences, but don’t have capacity to watch reactive dogs since I have other animals in my home. Adult dogs are expected to know the basics (decently leash trained, sit, off, potty trained) and to get along with other dogs and cats :) If your dog is a chewer/destructive I would expect it to be crate trained and for their crate to be provided to protect my home/belongings for short periods of time when the dogs stay home for up to 2 hours max.
A typical day
Early morning walk, mid morning walk, lunchtime dog park (or walk if they are not good off leash), afternoon and evening walks. If over the weekend they might join me on a hike.
