Pet care experience
As an animal lover, I have lived with dogs, cats and many other types of animals! I grew up with an ornery Bichon Frise who I loved dearly, but certainly gave me experience in caring for particular and eventually elderly dogs. As a proud dog aunt to a goldendoodle I have plenty of experience with getting out and exercising bigger dogs as well. As an equally proud cat aunt, I know the secret to a strong cat relationship is sharing hair ties as toys and giving a treat bag a good shake. As I cannot currently have a pet of my own, I would absolutely love to love on your sweet fur baby as little or as much as they want to be loved on!

I recently had the pleasure of entrusting my beloved dog Mason to the care of (my long term friend) Katherine, and I can confidently say that she is an outstanding dog sitter. From her first time meeting Mason as a young puppy, Katherine showed a genuine interest in getting to know Mason and his unique needs. She took the time to ask thoughtful questions about his diet, exercise routine, and personality, and made sure to keep me updated throughout the entire process. During Mason's stay with Katherine, I received frequent updates and photos that reassured me he was in good hands. I could see that he was happy, relaxed, and comfortable in her care. Katherine took him on long walks, played with him, and even took the time to work on some basic training exercises with him. When I returned to pick up Mason, he was well-rested and in excellent spirits. Katherine had gone above and beyond my expectations to ensure that he had a wonderful stay. Overall, I would highly recommend Katherine as a dog sitter to anyone in need of a caring, responsible, and trustworthy caregiver for their furry friend. She truly loves dogs and treats them as if they were her own. I am grateful to have her in my life and will definitely be using her services again in the future.

As we live in an urban area I understand sidewalk walks and dog parks are more common, though some aspects might not be preferred by you for your own pet. I am fully able bodied and am willing to work within your own personal preferences when caring for your pet.

Dogs are a spectrum of their own! I think it’s vital to know the ins and outs of each dog before committing to a stay together. Understanding their friendliness and interest in other dogs, their need for different levels of exercise each day, any sort of triggers that could cause them stress, food restrictions, or any house rules to make sure we are keeping each day as standard as they would be while home with their paw-rents any other day of the week. Routines are so important to dogs, and it’s important to me to keep them as comfortable, safe and happy during the time we are together!
A typical day
A typical day for me and a dog would start bright and early with a morning trip outside to take care of business, followed by a breakfast meeting the pups needs! I work remotely so daytime play is all the time and whenever I have a stretch of no meetings we can go to a local park for play or a nice long walk. Brookline is an awesome area for dogs and lots of different dog parks (if you are okay with that) and even more back roads for new and interesting walking routes.

Availability
I currently work full time, however it is hybrid and I typically am only in the office 1-2 days a week. With a flexible work day I am typically available any time of day as long as there is advance notice for scheduling purposes! I would also consider myself a mildly social homebody, happy to prioritize your pet any day or time you need.
