Pet care experience
I've owned pets all of my life; fish, birds, hamsters, cats, dogs, and a horse! I have no problem cleaning small fish bowls, bird cages, or litter boxes when needed, and love playing with all breeds of dogs! As an overnight sitter, I'll even water your plants and pick up your mail if you're away for a few days. : ) I've been a professional musician (harpist) for over 50 years, and am moving to Spring TX in July to be closer to my family, and would love to continue musically, but also while adding something that generates additional income, and is something I'm also good at doing! Our pets had an excellent time with Katherine. Katherine is great, she was on time, friendly, and really good with pets. We have a dog, two birds, and fish. They were all very happy while we were gone, and Katherine sent us daily updates so we knew our pets were well taken care of. We will definitely be working with Katherine again, she is a knowledgeable and excellent pet sitter.
Katherine is great. She has taken care of dog (baby) two times and he loves her. We hope she continues with Rover because we want to continue to use her.

I don't even know where to begin, but I will start by saying Katherine is AMAZING! She stayed at our house for 5 days and watched our two pups and she more than exceeded our expectations! We got updates and pictures several times a day. My older dog, who is very selective on who she likes, LOVED Katherine! She took the time to let our pups warm up to her (which didn't take long) and loved them like they were her own. She gave them medicine as needed, made sure they were eating and drinking enough and even took one to the vet when she wasn't feeling well. Katherine has a heart of gold and I would give her a BILLION stars if I could!

I have no breed preferences, but I would need to know if the dog has aggressive tendencies with strangers, and what sets him or her off. Are there any special food issues, (treats or "bribes"!) or health issues that require additives to the food, or medications to be given by mouth? Are there any 'bathroom' issues to be aware of, such as incontinence or diarrhea? Are there any age-related issues or restrictions to consider when going out for walks? Are they allowed on the furniture? : )
A typical day
I had a wonderful pit bull for 12 years who Loved to chase anything I'd throw for her! I can see great times spent in a nearby dog park, or a dog-friendly neighborhood for a nice walk, even if it's raining a little...they still need to go out! If there are chew toys to play "pull" with, so much the better. Or if your dog just prefers to be held and loved, that's fine too. I now have a long-haired miniature dachshund who loves to sit in my lap when I'm home and get a much loved belly rub! Of course she would stay with my family while I'm pet sitting overnight.
