Patience & Positivity!

Pet care experience

I've been an animal lover since before I could speak in sentences! I had my first dog when I was still in elementary school and for the past several years have been blessed to be the furever home to several rescued cats and dogs (not all at the same time!). I'm joining Rover simply because I enjoy animals and I have some available time to give to other dogs as well. I also remember what it was like when I got my first puppy as an adult and I was struggling to find all the time he needed for walks and attention while still working. I think it's much better for a dog to get adopted and have a hired dog sitter/walker than to stay in a shelter because families don't have enough time to walk him!

Kathrine is a wonderful fur mommy! She has 3 very cute dogsled her own that go where ever she goes whether it's hiking or to the serene lake for a swim. She knows all the cool places arround Connecticut to take dogs to run around and frolick.

My rescue dog is a very timid animal. He did NOT like strangers, loud noises, or even me when I'm rushing around the house trying to get ready when I'm running late. When Kat first met my dog, she stayed very calm and quiet, crouched down close to the floor so as not to intimidate him, and slowly offered treats and coaxed him in to be pet. She was one of the few people who got to touch him as I was training him to interact with other people. As a dog owner herself, Kat knows how to interact with and understand other dogs. She is keen to their body language and is able to adapt and respond so that the dog never feels threatened or insecure. And she had the patience to make sure the dog feels safe with her and trusts her. I will call her in a heartbeat to come watch my dog if I needed help.

Katherine is a true lover of dogs and genuinely compassionate about the animals in her care. Whenever she takes my boy Jackson out she is very attentive and Jackson is always happy to see her again. If you are looking for someone to provide the same care you would for your beloved fur baby Katherine is definitely the best choice for you.
