Before even being born, I was around all types of animals, from dogs, cats, fish, and small rodents. The first time I independently took care of animals was in elementary school, when I had five guinea pigs. As for cats and dogs, even though my parents were allergic I still helped babysit pets from my extended family to my neighbors. I loved baby sitting my neighbor's cat Roxy, she is such a sweetie! My ability to take care of creatures also extends to humans. When I was 16 my first job was working at a nursing home leading recreational activities, especially with dementia patients. I then later worked for a day center providing training for all different aged individuals or groups with special needs. I am patient, kind, and nurturing, and I believe these qualities make for a great per sitter!
