Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Kathy and I specialize in caring for cats and kittens, as well as small and senior dogs. I have lived with and cared for both cats and dogs my whole life, from young ones to seniors, as well as sick pets who need medical attention. I am skilled at giving oral medication and shots. I also volunteer at my local no-kill shelter and handle cats of all sizes. I also offer cat nail trimming as a separate service ($10/session). Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member!
Reviews
Katherine was great. Even my reclusive cat took to her! Will gladly ask for her next time. Very dependable!
Great sitter! Friendly and professional, and the cats were all happy and healthy upon return! Thank you so much!
Kathy has looked after our cat Marshmallow many times over the years and we've always found her to be dependable and trustworthy. She genuinely loves caring for animals. She goes above and beyond expectations to care for pets entrusted in her care. She always interacts with us in a professional manner showing kindness and consideration. I am grateful to have met her and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a pet-sitter.
Katherine is compassionate, competent, dependable, and has a strong attention to detail. She has been my pet sitter for years, caring for a diverse age range of cats. She has no problem giving medications, including subcutaneous injections and medications by mouth, to my diabetic cat with multiple medical issues. She always has lots of energy to play with my younger cat, as well as trim her claws. Her true love for cats, all cats, shows in her empathetic nature.

Safety, trust & environment
I understand every pet has its own personality and will respect their needs! I'm happy to play with your energetic companion or leave your shy loved one alone and let them come to me. No matter what, I am always attentive to their body language.
Information Katherine L. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if your pet has any medical needs or special diet and discuss these preferences ahead of time. I would also like to know if your pet has any peculiar hiding spots (places I should look if I can't find them right away) and (for cats) if your cat is an outdoor cat.
A typical day
For cats, every visit (up to 3 visits/day) will include: - Feeding (depending on your cat's schedule) - Checking the litter box(es) and scooping as needed/desired - As much attention as your cat would like - Checking the house for any cat-related messes* - General house maintenance (getting the mail, watering any plants, etc) *Change can be stressful for cats and they'll sometimes act out. I will contact you, however, if I feel your cat needs medical attention. For dogs, every visit (up to 3 visits/day) will include: - Feeding (depending on your dog's schedule) - Walk or potty time outside - As much attention as your dog would like - General house maintenance (getting the mail, watering any plants, etc)
