Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Katherine! I love to find quiet areas and parks to walk and jog in the city. I'm a good match if your pup is a city dog but still wants to get out and about. I absolutely adore dogs of all sizes and breeds, and respect that each one has his or her own personality. Whether they are a couch potato or an uber-active dog or somewhere in the middle, all dogs are amazing! I have cared for my own family dog for 13 years before getting my own pandemic pup named Chocopie about 2 years ago- I have plentiful experience in finding that perfect spot to scratch, knowing when a potty break is needed, the importance of a healthy amount of food and water breaks. I am comfortable around elderly dogs and are experienced in the needs of these special babies.

Katherine was so understanding and patient with my very anxious border collie. She sent plenty of updates and was very flexible with scheduling pick up and drop off. It was so nice to know that my baby was in good hands while I was gone.
Katherine doesn't see dogsitting as a chore. Rather, she sees it as an opportunity to meet and get to know adorable dogs. She absolutely loves them and her attention to making sure that they are having fun and doing well is proof of that.

I always ensure dogs are not left unsupervised when they have a snack or toy. I ensure they have access to fresh water at all times. I am comfortable administering oral medication to dogs as needed. I care for other dogs like I care for my own, because I know how much of a relief it is to have my dog in safe hands when I am out of town.

I'd like to know whether they are more active or less so, so I can tailor our time together to better fit their needs. I'd also like to know if they have a difficult time around certain animals/people, so I can prepare myself and avoid interactions.
A typical day
I like going on walks around the downtown Redmond area. I love exploring dog parks with my girl. Marymoor is a favorite of ours. I very much enjoy playing fetch with dogs in enclosed, open leash areas and cuddling on the couch with a good movie playing.

Availability
I am a graduate student and an intern, currently interning all day Monday and Friday, with evening classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have flexibility during the day and evenings on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and the weekends.
