Pet care experience
I’ve owned dogs and cats for all of my life. My dogs have all been pit-bulls and Rottweilers, so I’m comfortable working with big breeds! I recently earned a degree in pre-veterinary animal science, so I have experience in understanding animal care and behavior at a university level. I’ve volunteered at an animal shelter where I played with cats and dogs, and I additionally have experience owning a rabbit and plenty of fish (and volunteering at an aquarium) so I’m well versed in caring for a variety of animals. In the past I have worked at a vet clinic, and am currently employed at a self-service dog wash! I also don’t limit my services to just dogs! If you have rabbits, cats, turtles, snakes, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, even cows— shoot me a message and we can work something out! :)

Katherine was great! Sent me tons of pictures of Moose and you could tell from the first meeting how much pride she takes in her job! Moose is looking forward to seeing her again!
Katherine was so great with my foster dog - she came the very day I requested a drop-in to meet him and me, and she knew all the right questions to ask to make sure she was completely prepared for his walk and care. He loved her kind and upbeat energy and seemed completely comfortable with her after all he has been through as a rescue. I would recommend her for any type of dog, and would LOVE to use her in the future to care for my feline fur son, as well as any other future fosters :)
Katherine is a very joyful person. She really cared about my dog. I enjoy seeing her on the days she came to walk my dog. She really is present and puts her knowledge and heart into it! I highly recommend her! She does a great job!
I was walking my dog the other day and a neighbor stopped to chat. My neighbor said he noticed that Flash has a dog walker (Katherine) and that she is really great with him. The neighbor went on to say that Katherine was very engaged with Flash and worked and played with him. And that both Katherine and Flash seemed to always have a good time with one another.

I am not able to board dogs at my house during this time, but I am more than willing to play with dogs by taking them on long or short walks (or runs if they are more high energy) depending on their physical capabilities.

I would like to know the dog's size, overall temperament, their energy level, and if they have any behaviors that I should be aware of (e.g. developing leash manners or reactive to other dogs). I would also love to know what kind of treats they usually enjoy and if they have food allergies! I don't have any breed preferences, I love them all!
A typical day
I absolutely adore long walks, and I have no trouble matching a dogs pace! If we’re cranking up a mountain I’m game, but if we’re slowly bumbling along the beaten path that’s fine too! I also have access to a car so, with owner permission, I would be able to take your pup for a hike out of the city!

Availability
I have Fridays and Saturdays off from work, and am more than willing to take your pets on long walks and adventures on those days! I unfortunately cannot board pets in my apartment or do overnight stays (because I have rabbits) but I can also do drop in feedings and playtimes on my free days!
