Time & space to spare, with lots of focus on care!

Pet care experience

I adore animals and I've had pets my entire life, of all shapes and sizes; from puppies and kittens to elderly four-legged folks! I also have had tortoises, hamsters, birds and snakes so I'm prepared to care for all manner of critters. My husband and I work from home, so I have nothing but time for your special pal <3

Perfect! Coco was well liked after, pampered really 🥰. Kathy was lovely, great communication, sent us some piccies during the day. Would highly recommend and we will definitely book again.

Kathy was able to accommodate my booking at very short notice, after my originally arranged boarder had a change of plans. She met me and Shabba a few days before the scheduled stay was to start and he took an instant liking to her. That alone was a huge relief, because he can be picky. I was happy she had looked after smaller, temperamental dogs before and she showed a lot of confidence with mine, on their first introduction! Kathy was reassuring ahead of drop off and really put my mind at ease. She opened her home to my dog and he seemed settled on drop off day. He had a great time with Kathy and I received regular updates on his stay, how he behaved and what fun he had at Kathy's home. I can't express how grateful I am for Kathy taking Shabba in and how happy she made him while he was there! Highly recommend her service. Very caring and patient. 5 stars all the way!!!

Kathy is such a kind soul, with plenty of experience with all sorts of animals! From mammals to reptiles, she will make sure to look after your beloved family member as if it were her own. She has had lots of experience with many different breeds of dogs, all with different temperaments. I trust her completely with my pets' wellbeing and happiness, come rain or shine

I have a fenced in garden and live by plenty of parks and walking routes so your pet will never be without walks or fresh air. I have a nice big kitchen and living room for them to relax in and I'm always around for them to get plenty of contact and company. I can also store any cages, carriers or crates your pet may need to bring with them, along with all personal items and food. Please be aware that my husband works from home as well and so will always be around, so dogs that are wary of men may not enjoy staying with us.

Information Katherine H. would like to know about your pet

When taking care of pets it's important to know just about everything to ensure they feel safe and looked after. Most of these details will either be available to list on your pets profile, or we will go over during the initial Meet&Greet with you and your pet. This will assist me in providing the best care for your special pal. If you are unable to attend a Meet&Greet with me, then we will arrange a time to call and go over everything. This can be a phone or video call to suit your needs. Things I'll typically ask for are: General Pet Info: - Breed, age, neutered/spayed etc. - Feeding schedules - Dietary restrictions - Walking, bathroom and play schedules (including favourite games and toys) - Bedtime/crating schedules Pet Habits and Quirks: - Are they food or toy defensive/aggressive? - Do they get on with other animals? do they get on with children? - Are they prone to escape artistry? If so, what kind of things have they tried? - Are they house trained? To what extent? Do they have accidents? Comfort Needs: - Do they need a blanket or prefer a chair over sofa etc. - Toy preferences or restrictions - Allowed on furniture or not, if so, what is allowed Health Information: - Any health issues or conditions to consider, including allergies and intolerances. - Are they on medication? When does it need to be given? How do you normally give it? - Any physical issues/disabilities/sensitive points? If your pet has for instance a bad leg, or they don't like being touched on their back, this is extremely important to know and will also impact things such as the lengths of walks or outdoor time. Emergency Information: - Emergency contact details if you are unavailable Preferably this will be a family member or friend who will be available and aware of the arrangement. - Up-to-date Vet information

A typical day

Pets staying with me can look forwards to lots of playing and games (which cup is the treat under is always popular!), as many walks as they need, and exploring my fenced in yard and the local areas. My local area includes several parks and fields, lots of walking routes, as well as a large country park with lots of different environments to explore. Maybe we'll even take a little trip on the steam train! They will also get plenty of love and cuddles, and I have a nice three seater sofa to lounge on, with fresh blankets just for them.
