Pet care experience
I grew up with my family’s golden carrying me around the house when I was 5 and playing with our yellow lab in the snow for hours during my teenage years and now any time I visit my parents home. I moved to Quincy after graduating college in 2019 and I miss my yellow lab dearly! I took care of our yellow lab with my mom for 8 years while in high school and during school breaks from college. I have done everything from clipping her nails to brushing out her never ending shedding coat to hiding medicine in her food to chasing her in circles for 10 minutes at a time. I am currently working at a behavioral healthcare practice up in Boston and will be starting grad school part-time soon; I’ll have gobs of student loans to pay off as many of us do! So with my love of dogs/cats and need of as much extra earnings as I can get, I joined Rover! I live with my fellow-dog/cat-loving boyfriend, Fernando, and we are really looking forward to caring for your pet!

Katherine has been helpful caring for her family dogs since the age of five! She handles walking/running our dog on a public trail among other dog walkers, bikers, and runners. She loves dogs big and small! She would be the most responsible person you will find to care for your dog!

When it comes to caring for pets in a clients home, I would follow all instructions given by the client and make sure to clean up any messes caused by the pet when eating/drinking.

I would like to know if the dog is potty trained and if it bites. I’m totally fine with playful dog nipping, but I need to know if the dog ever seriously bites when playing. I would also like to know how the dog is on a leash for walking purposes but also because I’m willing to take high energy dogs on leashes runs if they aren’t going to pull my arm out of its socket haha (my family’s golden did that to me in his younger days)
A typical day
Around the neighborhood, at a local park/grass baseball field. In my home or the clients home, I am down for anything that gets your dog playing - from tugowar to fetch to just playing dog!

Availability
I work full time so I’m only available for care on Saturdays and Sundays but with enough advanced notice, I will always prioritize any services scheduled with Rover into my schedule.
