Pet care experience
I love helping and caring for animals. I've had pets my whole life and have a wonderful dog Rooney and cat Rupert. I've cared for friends and families pets and always give them the same love as if they were my own. I am a volunteer at the San Diego Humane Society working with cats and dogs and therefore am familiar with animals who need special attention or services, I understand their body language, I've worked and lived with puppies all the way to senior dogs. I would love provide your fur babies with a safe, supportive, loving home away from home for your pets while you are away. If you have special requests or questions, please let me know. Not only is Katherine a very responsible and trustworthy caregiver, she is a wonderful friend and animal lover. She has taken care of my dog many times and I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation!
Kat has owned her dog Rooney as long as I have known her. She takes Rooney on walks and runs every day, and has worked hard to solve Rooney's allergy issues. She is kind and super-friendly to our dog Lucy as well and has taken her for walks when we've been unable to. An all-around great person and dog lover!

I would love to get to know your dog better! Not only is it important for me to know what makes your dog happy, but also what makes them anxious or scared so that I can best support them. Does your dog have anxiety? Is your dog afraid of certain things or animals? Is your dog up-to-date on his/her shots? Does your dog have any aggressive tendencies or prey drive? All these things will help me better understand what your pet needs and how we can be safe together. Every dog is unique so we can discuss what would be best for him/her, whether we're going on a walk or having a sleep over!
A typical day
Wherever your home is, I'll provide your pet with a safe and fun outdoor walk. We can explore places your pet enjoys based on where you normally walk or find some new places to explore! If I am house sitting, we'll go out on walks, play in the back garden, catch the ball - whatever your pet likes! I'll also keep an eye on your house and make sure everything is perfect for your return home.
