Pet care experience
The nurturing skill that is required to look after animals just comes naturally to me. Throughout my childhood I had multiple dogs so I was raised to embrace the responsibility and joy that comes from dog sitting. I had 4 dogs from the age of 7-18, and have looked after friends’ dogs for long periods of time. I also had a horse for 10 years all throughout my childhood so I’m definitely an active animal person!

We are so grateful to Katherine for looking after our french bulldog. He's old and can be a bit set in his ways but he clearly warmed immediately to her which really put us at ease. Katherine gave us regular updates and did an amazing job taking care of our dog and his specific needs. We would definitely use Katherine again, and our dog would love to see her again as well!

I would like to know if your dog has any allergies. This way I can prepare their food in the right way (if an oral allergy). Knowing if your dog is afraid of anything is also crucial. For example my dog is afraid of escalators so now I know to take her to places with steps.
A typical day
Hello! I love to create a fun environment for dogs whilst also making sure they feel comfortable. I have several green park areas right next to where I live so the dogs I look after are spoilt for choice. I always make sure I have dog toys on me to keep the dog mentally stimulated and active. Plus it’s fun for me too as I love running around with the dogs.

I currently work full time but from home. So I have freedom and flexibility to take the dogs for a walk. I often look after my parents cavapoo which involves taking her to the park which is right next to my flat. Peckham is full of lovely parks!
