I am a former licensed veterinary technician with extensive experience working with dogs, cats, horses, and other small pets. During undergrad, I worked at an animal sanctuary ("Home for Life") where I helped care for over 100+ cats and dogs including disabled, paraplegic, and animals with behavioral problems. I also showed my grandma's dog in the county 4-H dog show in basic obedience classes for 3 years. Currently, I occasionally pet-sit over night for a 'stranger/danger' mini Australian Shepard. I either stay with him in his home or occasionally he stays with me. I also have a special love for cats! I can't ever remember a time when we didn't have some sort of animal in our house. We had anything from birds, rabbits, hamsters to cats and horses. I can not imagine going through life without a four legged fur thing! The only reason I ever left the veterinary world was so I could become a chiropractor with hopes to someday adjust animals. When you hire me to watch your animals you can rest assure that if your animals require medication I more than willing to give it to them in a safe and loving way and if an emergency were to arise I would know how to adequately access the scene and know when to get them to a vet.
