Pet care experience
I have gained most of my professional pet care experience by working in the pet care industry as a veterinary assistant, as well as owning family pets. However, the formal training I have acquired allows me to feel comfortable caring for a number of needs for pets and owners, including a range of health issues, anxiety, and general homesickness. I have a great interest in keeping pets in a low stress environment where they can feel at ease even when they aren't at home. I also take care in updating owners multiple times throughout their pet's stay on the health of their pet and how their pet is adjusting. Every pet, just like every owner, has individual needs that I can work with to make their stay happy, healthy, and fun for everyone!!

Katherine was wonderful! My dog loved staying with her. She has a big fenced in yard and lives in the country near a pond which he visited for a swim. I was completely comfortable leaving my fur child with her!

Information Katherine B. would like to know about your pet
Although I don't have any breed preferences, I would like to know if your pet has had any trouble meeting other animals, as well as any previous troubles at dog parks or even at the vet. These are not a deal breaker! I just want to know for the safety of your pet as well as my own. We may even be able to discuss ways to improve these behaviors during your stay!! I would also like to know if the pets are up to date on vaccines (Distemper, rabies, Bordetella).
A typical day
Not only do we have a large fenced in backyard to roam and play in, we also are located right on a turkey farm. This gives us plenty of room to play fetch! Right across the quiet street from us is Turkey Farm Lake trailhead, where we enjoy daily walks with our own two dogs. This trailhead has even more safe room to run off leash, if mom and dad say it's ok, and even a pond to splash in!
