Pet care experience
I have lived with dogs my entire life (22 years) and currently have 5 dogs that bring me more happiness than anything else in this world. Dogs inspire me to live care free and love as hard as I'm able, and I truly look to them as examples of love. They are our biggest blessings in this world, and should be treated as such. There's not much I won't do for your dog, as I think all dogs deserve the world. I'm totally okay with any sort of cleaning or grooming or any other nasty things that need to be done. I've worked at a vet and and Petsmart, so there's not much I haven't seen or helped out with. Also after living with dogs for 22 years, I'm used to just about everything. I love dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages. My dogs range from a huge Great Pyrenees to a very small spaniel, so I'm used to every type of energy level and size. I'm willing to do anything with your dog, be that take him or her on a nice relaxing walk and just check in on them, or go on a long run or hike with them if that would help them get their energy out. I'm very outdoorsy and have been running off and on for the past 10 years, so I'm very okay with getting some exercise (I actually would appreciate it). My availability is any time Monday-Saturday and any time after 2pm on Sunday. I do work most days, and my schedule is determined one weeks in advance, so my availability may be a little different when you contact me. Just let me know what you need me to do, and we’ll figure out when I can help :) I would be absolutely honored to care for your dog. For me, this is more than just a job, it's an opportunity for joy.

Katherine has been great! Our little guy just adores going on walks with her. She is quick at responding, reliable, trustworthy and very detailed in her reports after each walk. We especially love getting pictures after each walk. Definitely recommend her!
Katherine is amazing with all my dogs. Her own home has always been filled with dogs of all shapes and sizes, and she has a profound and individual love and relationship with each of them. Not only is she amazing with animals, she is also very reliable and trustworthy. I've never known her to be late and she strives to please not only the owner, but the dogs as well. I feel so safe with her caring for my dogs. I know that not only will they be well-loved and taken care of, but that she will actually spend time with them, whether it is to provide a lap to lay on, or a playmate to throw the ball. I'd choose Katherine to care for my pets every time.

Please of course let me know any health issues they have, how much they should be exercised, when they should be fed, and what they should not be fed. Temperament-wise, let me know how they are around unfamiliar humans, dogs, or other animals and if they get stressed out in cars or in unfamiliar areas. Also, are they protective of their humans (specifically, would they get protective around me in a short period of time)? Please also let me know their favorite things to do, their favorite treats, or places to be scratched. Basically, give me a little profile on your dog. I want them to be as comfortable as possible around me, so please help me accomplish this as well. I have no breed preferences.
A typical day
Where we go for walks will depend on your area of course, but I will make there that anywhere we go is very safe and away from cars or other dangers. Some places I love to take dogs are Harlinsdale Farms in Franklin, Granny White Park in Brentwood, and Vaugns Gap in Brentwood. I also know the Franklin and Brentwood areas very well, and a walk around the city is lovely. As far as fun activities, a good hike or run is always fun with a dog, but I would also love to take them on an adventure to a park or to get ice cream (doggy-safe, of course) and will provide toys for them to play with, if they enjoy that. For less energetic dogs, I could always do with some company while studying and would love to have them just sit with me. I'd also love to help groom your dogs, though I don't have any special skills in this area. I could bathe or brush them, but don't ask me to style or trim your dogs hair, because I guarantee it would not be salon-standards. Really, I would just prefer to know some of your dogs favorite places or activities, and I would love to take them there.
