Hi! My name is Katie and I have over 8 years of experience of caring for dogs and cats. In undergrad, I was an intern at a pet rescue. I was in charge of walks, playtime, bath time, therapy, and some basic medical work. I also spent some time fostering kittens while working at the rescue. In grad school I continued to work with another rescue in North Carolina, and I fostered dogs mostly with special needs. Since moving to the DC/Virginia area, I started to do some dog sitting mostly for friends. I got on Rover in November of 2016 and I've really enjoyed getting to interact with different pups and kitties around the city. At home, we have a 2 year old lab-mix rescue. He’s very hyper and fun to run with, but also so cuddly and sweet. He's crate trained and good with other dogs and cats. I'm happy to socialize the pups or keep the apart as needed. We also recently adopted a 9 year-old German Shepherd named Leni. She’s not nearly as hyper as my puppy but she enjoys short walks and lots of treats.
