Hello, My name is Katie. I live with my husband, 3 medium sized rescue dogs and 2 rescue cats. I am a stay at home mom for my two kids, a 2 year old and a baby! I worked for the humane society and another animal shelter for the last 6 years, I still work there periodically if they need extra help! This means that I am experienced in working in a kennel with all different types and sizes of dogs, dogs with medical and behavior issues and many dogs at once. I am a huge advocate for animals and have devoted my life to their protection. I am also very experienced in dealing with all sorts of dogs and the situations that they come from, I have tons of patience and believe in positive reinforcement only! Working with animals is extremely rewarding for me! I am home full time and your dog(s) would rarely be alone. About my home: We have a 6 foot fully fenced yard. The yard has plenty of toys to play with and bones to hide or chew on, we also have outdoor dog beds for the dogs to lounge on if they would like to! Everyone is always supervised outside and we take all special precautions to ensure their safety. Our house has plenty of space for a couple more friends to join us, dog beds and dog toys everywhere-nowhere is off limits. We have elevated areas where our 2 cats can get away to if needed! About my family: My husband and I are HUGE animal lovers, our pets are everything to us! We also have a 2 year old son and a baby daughter who will grow up to be a big animal fans! Our dogs are very friendly, both with people and with other animals! They are all rescues. They go to dog parks and enjoy going on long walks, they are treat trained and know basic obedience, all 100% house trained. Initially they were crate trained until we could trust them and know they were safe, they now can choose to sleep in bed with us or in their own dog beds, they have free range of our home when home alone. Our two rescue cats are very sweet and outgoing, they will greet you at the door along with our dogs!
