Pet care experience
I have worked closely with all sorts of animals ever sense I was in in High school, and have really dedicated most of my work to them at this point. Mainly because I love animals and am really passionate about all being treated with love and good care. I have volunteered a lot at shelters, worked in barns with horses and walked shelter dogs. I actively house and dog sit for family friends whenever needed, as well as now work at a dog training and daycare that has deepened my understanding and training in handling dogs.

I highly recommend Katelynn for taking care of animals. She took care of my old Saint Bernard Gus, and old Saint Bernards need lots of encouragement and kindness. She was extremely personable and clearly has a strong passion for animals, and is talented at understanding animal behavior, ensuring that your dog is taken care of in the right ways. I 10/10 recommend hiring Katelynn for dog walking or pet sitting.

I have a dog myself so trust me I am totally aware that these amazing pals are not just our pups but also family members. I have a very loving and respectful approach to how I care for and handle dogs and all animals. I also totally value and see the importance of training and different house pup rules so really I like to keep consistency with whatever the family does with their pup in how I interact and take care of them:) They like to cuddle on the couch, no problem. Or the opposite where they have a doggie bed you would like them to be in and not on the furniture, I will continue with that to keep the training consistent! Whatever the case is, I always love to shower them in extra love and attention so that they relate me to fun! happy! and tails'a'waggin!

Just let me know what your dog is like! And special needs? How are they with other dogs? Are they good on leash? All little things i can prepare for!
A typical day
I love to keep dogs happy and using their brains and paws to stay active and entertained! Hiking and long walks, brain games, basic training to get them learning. I love to hike taylor mountain with dogs or spring lake because all the smells are stimulating for them too!

Availability
I currently am working around 35hours a week but have a flexible schedule to where I can adjust to have more time to play and take care of pups! I am always off in the evening and am a mellow soul. Also an early morning gal, so for the active pups I am more than willing to walk a few miles or even take them to trials to get some hiking exercise in.
