Pet care experience
I always had cats growing up, and currently my husband and I have two rescue kitties - one of which is disabled. I have watched a lot of my friends' cats whenever they travel. This has included house-sitting, checking in on them every day (sometimes multiple times a day), playing with them, making sure they get tons of cuddles and attention, making sure they have food and water, medication, sending update photos, and making sure their spaces are clean and tidy. Of course, I also have experience looking after dogs. I had dogs growing up as well, and have cared for my friends' and family's dogs whenever they need! I understand how important it is for dogs to get their energy out through quality play-time, and for you to rest assured that they are loved and cared for while you're away.

For drop-in visits, I make sure your furry friends have... - the right amount of food and water - lots of attention and play-time with their toys - any medications they might need administered - their litter box cleaned (cats)/taken outside for potty breaks (dogs) - their vet info on-hand in case of any concerns or emergencies And I make sure YOU have... - photo and text updates for every visit - a secure and safe home with all doors locked after I leave - peace of mind that your pet is doing great!

I always set up and meet and greet beforehand, so you can let me know if your dog or cat has any medications, special feeding requirements, or special needs.
A typical day
For cats, a typical drop-in will include lots of playing and cuddles. While it's true that many cats prefer to keep to themselves, I know that they need mental and physical stimulation just as much as dogs do! Of course, if they are more aloof or don't like to be handled, I'll just chat to them about my day and make sure they know they are cared for. For dogs, a typical drop-in will include lots of play-time, affection, and making sure all their needs are met. If you have a backyard, I'd love to take them outside and play fetch!

Availability
I am currently working from home, which means I can be available at any time of day for drop-in visits or dog walks! Pet sitting is my side hustle, as well as a great way for me to get out of my home office and meet new people and pets.
