Every animal I will spoil as my own
Pet care experience
My experience is simple; I've been very "hands on" with caring for my pets ever since I can remember. I have lived with animals my entire life. As a baby I had cats, and my first dog when I was 6 years old. I have a true compassion for all animals, but dogs and cats are what bring me the most joy to my personal life. There is just something about a pet's love that is like no other. Pets are family, and family is everything. TRAINING EXPERIENCE: By time I was learning long division in elementary school, I was also going to every dog obedience class both my dogs were attending with my dad. Our labs were both proud graduates of multiple levels of dog obedience classes. And I have done the same with my dog. I believe building a solid, caring foundation with trust in your companion, thus I use positive reinforcement training/exercises when needed. COMFORTABLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS: One of my labs growing up struggled with diabetes for half of his life. Needle injections of insulin were required twice a day with meals. As a teen I would split this duty with my mom. Also growing up we had a blind cat. Remarkably he was very effecient with getting around as most cats are innately independent, but you know he needed extra love and reassurance on the side to get him through. Currently, my fur baby has sensitive skin and requires medication topically and systematically at times. I also rescued my fur-child who had years of bad anxiety. At times I needed reassure him that turning the corner into the next room, even though he has been there 100x, is safe and ok to enter. Most days are good but even after 10 yrs he needs to love and encouragement that things are ok. Patience is key. Needless to say, medical and mental needs don't scare me a bit. GO-TO PERSON FOR LOVED ONES: I only have one dog currently but I am itching for more. Once I can afford a farm of dogs, I will truly be my happiest. For the many years I have eagerly volunteered to baby sit, walk/stop in, train my friend's and family's pet. I have watched not only dogs and cats but also rabbits, ferrets, goats, and chickens. Any time I can take advantage of a temporary time period of being around more pets, I will, hence my idea to turn it into a job.
Reviews
Katelyn was absolutely the best cat sitter. She shared wonderful photos and videos and truly loved our cat. We would highly recommend her to anyone.
Parker had a wonderful stay with Katelyn and the Muttley Crew! I loved all of the daily updates seeing my girl get lots of exercise and playtime. Would definitely recommend!
Katelyn and Richard came to my rescue when my dog Ollie injured his foot right before a trip and needed a petsitter who was able to monitor it and change the bandage. The petsitter he was supposed to stay with was unable to do that and Katelyn and Richard agreed last minute to take him. Ollie had a great time and was well taken care of!
We absolutely love how well Sammie is doing with Katelyn. Katelyn really cares about Sammie and all of her anxiety and helps her manage it. She has introduced Sammie to new dogs and it really seems to help her. We could not be more excited about having Katelyn take care of our girl.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Your loved one will be hanging out with myself, my husband, and my coonhound most likely on our couch, in our yard playing, or hiking with us along numerous trails nearby. We do not have a fence yet, but have two dog runs - one for the back yard and one for the front yard designed for our 85lb dog to have almost full yard access. We treat all our guests like family so they will have a spot on our couch. But of course, if your fur baby is not used to hanging out on the couch we will not encourage new behavior. We will adjust according to your preference. My 10 year old coonhound, Brody, gets along with other dogs but unsure about cats. He is not very interactive with our house guests as he likes to nap like a hound is known to do. He is used to hyper, in your face dogs kind-of dogs, but gives them little reaction. Brody does not like to be dominated though, so he does not tolerate humping or any mounting. He will simply give a good snarled bark just to let them know he doesn't appreciate it. All dog interactions between my pup or any others will be monitored. Brody has a true soft spot for little dogs as he grew up snuggling with a 8lb Italian greyhound and a 25lb puggle. He is very aware of his size and his boundaries. Your fur baby won't be alone for any period of time, but will crate as owners desires. We are very flexible and understand specific requests as we know they are like your child.

Information Katelyn & Richard K. would like to know about your pet
Any medical conditions? Gets along with other dogs, cats, people? Allowed limited snacks? Allowed on couch or bed? Any crating preferences? Any regimen that needs to be followed? Up to date with Vaccines? Anything your dog is scared of or dislikes? Good on leash? I basically want to get to know your dog so I can provide the best care for them individually.
A typical day
I love to use many state and town trails/parks to walk, hike, and swim nearby. I love to adhere to basic command training so your baby may come home with better listening skills. Activities will all be based on your preference. If your dog stays with me, my goal is to give back your dog tired, happy, and loved.
