I've consistently taken care of dogs for 12 years and have had my own fur child, Cinnamon, for 18 years (though she currently lives at my parents' house and is not here in Columbia). I work part-time from home, and have lots of time and energy to give to loving new furry friends. I have experience with everything from cleaning up excitable puppy messes to handling elderly dogs (oral medication, gentle care, deaf and blind, etc.). For dogs I've taken care of in the past, I usually visit 4-5 times a day anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to go on walks, fix food, and play. (I can pick up mail, water plants, take out trash, etc.) I usually will go stay with dogs I take care of during thunderstorms, because I know they can be a bit scary and I want to be there to provide extra cuddles. I live less than ten minutes' drive from Riverfront Park (I love going for walks or runs, whatever your dog prefers!), and there is a dog park area at my apartment complex. My roommate has one cat, but the cat has lived with dogs before and generally stays in the bedroom. (My roommates also LOVE dogs.)
