Pet care experience
My name is Katelyn, and I am a responsible, caring dog and cat (or even bird or hamster) sitter in the DC area. I currently have two dogs of my own (wish I could afford more:), and have owned dogs my whole life. I have previously owned cats, hamsters, birds....and have a deep love for all animals! I will provide them the same care to your furry family members that I do to my own animals. I am responsible and committed to the services I provide. I am also a very active person, so would be happy to run around with or chase around/walk your dog! If you are interested, please send me an email! Katelyn lost my dog in her house and couldn’t find her for over 2 hours. I had to call my cousin to help as I was out of the country. To alleviate my worries about my dog’s care my cousin took her and placed her in the care of my aunt until my return. It wasn’t until then that I learned Katelyn wasn’t giving my dog her medicines from the pill planner I prepared as well as there were multiple dogs at Katelyns house that she didn’t inform me of. My dog had diarrhea for two days after leaving Katelyns and I must now get her tested for giardia. Katelyn assured me her house and backyard were regularly cleaned but that was not the case when I dropped her off or when my cousin picked her up. Katelyn should have not accepted my booking if she was not prepared to take care of my senior pet in a calm comfortable environment.
Katlyn definitely cares about the dogs she watches. Thunder had a great time!
Katelyn was great. Very interactive and communicative. She worked on commands while walking as well! Will definitely use her services again. Thank you!
This was my first time using rover.com. Katelyn provided excellent care for my dog (even taking her for trips to play with her own pooches) and sent picture updates as well.

I have a fenced and backyard, which is very secured and certified by the American kennel Association, I will treat your pet if they are my own, and provide them with lots of love and attention, if any issues arise, I will immediately notify you, and am very good with communication!

A typical day
Well wake up, go on a walk, have breakfast. they will have a large amount of hugs and kisses from myself, as well as my son, who just turned to eat, and my daughter, who is about to turn six, and then, of course :-) then, we will drop the children off at school, which we walk/Ron or scooter down to the school, which is about .2 miles away and then, I will hang out with the animals until they get out of school about 330 or so. Following that, we will take a walk to get the children at the school and then have a nice evening together :-) if you have any questions, you can always let me know. I always send a ton of pictures and treat them as if they’re my own :-) I have a turtle and fish tank that is now currently empty but all the materials for such animals as well! I love all animals always have always well! Memory biologist for a living and would love for the opportunity to watch her email. I’m able to work with you regarding your schedule, as well as your pet schedule. If there are any special needs medication, allergies, etc. I am willing to provide those as you wish. Please be sure to provide me with your pets, veterinary information as well as any emergency contacts that you have.
