I would recommend that in the future this sitter sticks with drop in visits, cats, or low energy dogs, and communicates concerns or questions prior to accepting the rover request or during the meet and greet. We appreciated that our house was well kept and that she stayed for the remainder of the visit after the incident that occurred which caused severe anxiety for myself while we were away as well as extreme concern for our dogs. I think the amount of energy and expectations that I expressed were higher that what this sitter understood and it became clear it was too much. I am appreciative that she remained with our dogs and did not leave as we had no other option due to no family in the area, being out of town for a graduation, and we weren’t able to get anyone else to help if she had decided to leave early. Fortunately with our ring cameras we could see that after what occurred on the second day, that she followed what was discussed after reaching her on the phone and talking with my husband. She had left the dogs in their crates longer than we are okay with and she did not respond to several methods of us trying to contact her. Communication was good at the start and after we expressed our extreme concern with what we saw on the ring cameras. After my husband reiterated the expectations of care for our dogs, expressed what was not acceptable, and expressed the anxiety we felt due to seeing the length of time the dogs were left in their crates on the cameras, & not not being able to reach her, the remainder of the visit went well with communication.

Katelyn did an excellent job watching my dogs! She really went above and beyond during her visits. She had class during one of the visit times, and she immediately offered to come before and after to ensure my girls were taken care of. It was easy to get in touch with her, and she was very responsive to my messages. She did a great job caring for my girls too! Arrived on time, stayed the full 30 minutes, took lots of pictures, and provided updates. I have had some bad experiences with pet sitters in the past, and it is a relief to find someone dependable. Cannot recommend Katelyn enough!
