Caring & Enthusiastic Animal Lover

Pet care experience

Hi! I am a huge animal lover who also happens to be a realtor, so I have THE perfect schedule to spend plenty of quality time with my three dogs as well as yours! I have 3 rescue dogs who all have their own individual needs so I'm used to dealing with a variety of doggie personalities! Feel free to read more about me and my 3 dogs below and thanks for checking out my profile! Ten years ago I adopted my first dog and now, I am up to 3 dogs of my own who I just adore! They are each totally their own dog, which I just love and they each have completely different needs. As with my doggie family, I am committed to giving your dog the individualized attention care, and compassion they need to thrive. I adopted my oldest, Murphy, from an elderly woman who had bought this cute little puggle puppy for her grandson who then moved to Florida. Murphy was a rambunctious puppy and she did not have the energy to take care of him anymore so she needed to find him a good home. He was about 12 weeks old when I got him and he was my baby! I ended up taking him everywhere with me and he quickly became a regular around town. Since Murphy was young he has suffered with extreme separation anxiety which I have tried a variety of remedies from the Thundershirt, pheromone collars, and even medications- luckily with some key changes in my behavior and a mix of other remedies I have been able to mitigate the problem as much as possible, however it is something that will always be there for Murphy. If you have a dog with anxiety, I am someone who is familiar with the behavior and can provide the care and compassion your baby needs when you are unable to be there for him. Shortly after I adopted Murphy, I knew I wanted to expand my dog family so I had been frequenting the local shelters, and then one day I saw this dog, guessed to be about 6 months, who looked just like Murphy! He was some kind of pug mix and he had fleas, ear mites, was found as a stray and also had had a big cut on his ear from being involved in a dog fight. It was also clear that he had been abused since he would hang his head anytime someone would raise their hands near him. He needed love so badly and I knew I could give him The love he so desperately needed, so just to be sure, I brought Murphy to the shelter to indroduce them, and they got along great and I took Marley home with me. Although Marley does not cower in fear whenever someone raises a hand anymore, he still has issues with men, with people he doesn't know, and with other dogs he doesn't know. He is harmless but scares easily and is always on defense mode which can be unfortunately confused for aggression. If you have a dog who has ever been abused, has trust issues, or scares easily, I have experience with these behaviors and I can be sure to give the gentle, compassionate support they need to not feel threatened by a new person entering their lives. 5 years later, I unexpectedly expanded my dog family one more time when my neighbor knocked on my door to tell me she had just found 2 puppies left in a box in a parking lot in the cold. One was clearly a runt because she was half the size of the other one. It didn't take long before I had fallen in love with the runt and I took her home. We are not quite sure what her mix is but we think she may have boxer and basset because she is long, brindle, has giant ears, droopy eyes and the bay of a basset. She is full of energy and very vocal which can sometimes lead her to get into trouble. I have learned that exercise is crucial to her good behavior. If you have a dog that has endless energy, behavior problems, or just can't stand being at home alone, let me help! I have a flexible schedule, perfect for quick drop in visits or walks to help keep your dog happy and active while you are away. With all that said, I am excited to join Rover and be given the opportunity to meet more dogs, learn about their behaviors, and provide them with the individualized attention they need! Please message me for more info!

My dogs and I are OBSESSED with Katelyn! She was super easy to communicate with and took wonderful care of our dogs. I am a neurotic dog mom and she left me feeling completely at ease. She left our house perfectly clean and with a sweet thank you note. We hope to have her back very soon!

Katelyn loves dogs! I have seen her with her own 3 dogs and she relates to each of them as individuals and respects their unique personalities. She has a heart for animals and really cares about their well-being and happiness. Katelyn is intelligent and a dedicated worker. Whatever the task at hand, work, school, whatever, Katelyn gives it her all is not happy until the job is done and done well. I have no doubt that a dog in her care would be very well cared for indeed.

Katelyn is the sweetest, kindest person I have ever met. She is wonderful with dogs and loves them all, large or small, and they clearly love her too! She has such a sweet and gentle spirit- it's no wonder they do! She also very responsible and trustworthy. Don't trust your fur babies to anyone else!

I would live to learn a little bit about each dog's personality in general- the quirks, their likes and dislikes, etc.- before meeting the dog so I can be sure to greet them in a way that will lead to a successful first meeting and also lay the groundwork for building trust with your dog. Learning more about your dog's personality and behaviors will also help me in giving the individualized and compassionate care they need.
