Pet Sitting is the Way
Pet care experience
****MAY 20, 2021 UPDATE**** Hi there, pet parents. I hope everyone has been well and healthy this past year. I am currently not accepting new clients. I also feel that, with my current work schedule, I cannot fulfill any house-sitting/overnight stays, as my hours will keep me away from your pet for about 8 hours straight. I do have some availability for drop-in visits for my past clients! Best times are Monday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.; Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.; and weekends, generally anytime, but do reach out first. Thank you soooo much to those who have trusted me with their fur beans. I've loved every one of them! Please reach out to me if you have any questions or inquiries. Cheers, Katelyn (&Sammy)
Reviews
Simply the best. We had never used rover or had someone we didn’t know watch our dog. Katelyn went above and beyond. Keep in constant contact and when our flights were running late went back at night to let our dog out. Can’t say enough about her and the joy she was.
Katelyn sat for us for a week and it was absolutely great. She handled medication for our little old lady kitty like a pro, and let our somewhat skittish dog warm up to her - by the end of the week I know they were the best of buddies. Wouldn't hesitate to have her again. Very trustworthy and just a nice person, too!
We had Katelyn stay with our dogs last minute so I was a bit nervous since they hadn’t stayed with anyone recently. We met Katelyn and felt confident in her ability to take good care of our babies. I was most concerned about our six month old puppy. Everything went really well and we would definitely use her again!
Kate sits for our fifteen yr old rescue. We have no qualms leaving WHO? in Kate's more than capable hands. Kate was raised with Rottweilers her whole childhood. We will be using her again this summer. We would give her a five star review. Kate makes going on vacation relaxing because we know WHO? is being taken care of.

During drop-in visits, I will first ensure that the doors are secured so that there are no escape attempts. Then, I usually greet your pet, let them recognize me and get used to me being in their space; if someone is more wary I don't approach, I just give them time to come to me! Once they are comfortable, I will spend some time with them, pet them, rub ears, bellies, whatever they enjoy best. Usually what I do during drop-in visits are letting them outside in the appropriate area to go potty, refilling their bowl with fresh water, feeding (if needed/requested), and just hanging out. If it is not too hot out, I can take them for a 15-minute walk around the block. Before I leave, I do let them out one more time just in case they need to go potty one more time. Then, lights off, door locked behind me, and I head home/to work.
Information Katelyn F. would like to know about your pet
Contact information is a must so we can properly communicate, especially if it's an overnight stay. I would like to know if there is anything your dog might react negatively to, what they respond well to (i.e., sweet talk, ear rubs vs. chin scratches), applicable potty schedules, and whatever else you think I should know. With monsoon season, please let me know if they are scared of storms so I am prepared to help them remain calm and secure. Below are some specifics that would be greatly appreciated: Walks: Do they walk well on a leash? Sociable with other dogs? Will I have access to a foldable water dish, or should I bring one of my own along? Overnight stays: Rules of the roost (yours, not theirs!). Furniture climbing, yes or no? Habits, feeding times? Medications? Potential escape artist escapades? I have no real breed preferences, but I am a bit biased to rotties and big dogs, such as German Shepherds, retrievers, and so forth.
A typical day
Besides the basics, there's playtime (tug-of-war, fetch, all that good stuff), specific feeding instructions/times, reading time, and lots of belly rubs. I'm happy to help reinforce commands if you are training your dog/puppy (i.e., telling them to sit and wait for dinner) while I am with them. We can go on walks (early mornings and late evenings when it's super hot outside) and we can chill in the cool of the house during the hot Arizona days.
