Pet care experience
I have taken care of many animals since I was 8! You name it - birds, fish, bearded dragons, turtles, guinea pigs, sugar gliders, kittens and adult cats, and dogs ranging from Dachshund and Shih Tzu to German Shepherd and Great Dane sizes! I have done various care tasks such as feeding, bathing, walking, training, and just spending time with them. Many people have asked and relied on me to take care of their pets or give training advice, especially since I have an Aussie that I have personally raised and trained from 8 weeks old, as well as a Shih Tzu all through high school and into college. I have effectively trained 3 dogs, 2 from puppies, and helped with various behaviors with 4 others dogs. I have used 3 different effective ways to give medication and have provided hygiene as needed for comfort (grooming, trim nails, brush teeth) for experience examples. I have done first aid skills (as well as have the equipment) on minor cuts, scratches, tick removal, burns, irritations and allergy alleviation. I love when animals play and express their personalities, and I make sure they have adequate time in order to do that or walk - it's extremely important! I take interest and enjoyment in learning communication skills between species and how to read them because they can understand us...Trust me!!

I believe that Katelyn is careful with her decisions. She is caring, loving to all creatures and believes that every opinion matters. She is comfortable with the changes that occur in day to day life and will roll with those changes. I have faith that she knows how to get over any hurdle and is respectful of each moment and the curves it can throw her. You cannot find a better more caring person than Katelyn in my opinion.
Katelyn is very sweet and gentle with all breeds of dogs. When it comes to animals she treats them like family even if they are not her own. She would be a great caregiver to any dog.

In order to provide boarding of any kind, the animal will need to meet my fur baby! She is an ESA dog: trained very well , very nice, energetic, and loves to play, but is protective of her mama and needs slower movements due to being an older dog now. Upon meeting, if new men are present, no hats can be worn during the meeting. She is exceptional company after comfortability is established! Please provide food and treats if animals have a diet or allergies- otherwise I have various healthy treats! Please provide toys if staying over at any capacity. Some animals may not always like to share! I am next to a few parks for supervised play, but can take them to an enclosed park if location provided and preferred. Very low key, slow neighborhood for calm walks on the leash I also have my significant other who is home often for school and work schedule that can interact with them and pet them, but they will not assist in any way regarding the business portions, but will be around because they live with me! We have a great home and can kennel safely if separation and rest time is needed! If sitting or coming to the animal for care, meeting the animal and owner is required for me to give me insight and familiarity to the home, area, and care specifics of the animal!

I would like to know their name, how they are with other animals, if all their vaccinations are up to date, what they are like in public areas, how old they are, what level of training they are at, their usual routines, how I can preferably call/discipline them if needed, and what makes them the most comfortable when stressed or barking!
A typical day
I enjoy taking walks, accompanied or not! They are soothing and grounding. My neighborhood is quite calm and slow on traffic as well. Therefore, going around a few blocks would be very good in stimulation and exercise for everyone! There are also two parks near by, and if they are trained off-leash, it's a great place to run and throw a ball! I know of another park that's a bit more secluded and fenced off for those not off-leash trained! If there are particular parks or areas your baby likes that are within a reasonable distance, we can go on a field trip! Indoor activities are a plenty as well, but I ask owners to bring some of their baby's favorite toys (as well as leashes, harnesses, etc) if coming over to me and my fur baby to decrease sharing issues! Healthy tug-of-war, fetch, chew sessions, hanging out on the porch, you name it (as well as whatever their home area provides)! I love to train by positive enforcement using treats and praises, so also, if they are coming over to me, please provide treats for your baby if there is an allergy or dietary restrictions. Otherwise we have plenty! I encourage down time and separation if multiple animals are around. Depending on the length of stay or visit, this can be 30-2 hrs at interval.

Availability
I am currently working at a casual position, but also currently looking for a part-time or full-time job on top of that. Even so, I will always make time for the family left at home! Currently I am available to: - house sit every other week Thursday-Sunday (accommodate my casual job) ***I am not available before noon unless house sitting. If house sitting I need to be out by 8 am if staying overnight and need to be home by 10 pm if only daily requests. More details can be discussed by phone or email per requests! - come for walks and potty breaks after noon Monday-Friday (depending on age, type, and distance, prefer to come every 4 hours) ***this is subject to change - most certainly available for play dates if that's something that spikes interest! I am looking to build long-term set schedules for the animals to make them feel comfortable and provide them consistency , but if something is needed in a pinch, please let me know!!
