Pet care experience
Just when I think I’ve met my favorite pet, I then add another to that list. I have been working with dogs and cats for over seven years. Starting with a dog training school to get certified, I worked at vet clinic where I worked as a boarding manager, daycare dog evaluator and did private dog training. After a few years, I moved to an animal shelter where I worked as a manager for almost two years. I have been exposed to many situations with pets including fearful/scared animals, special needs pets, giving medications and following strict diet instructions. I have even been involved in emergencies and have been able to keep my cool and do what is needed for the animal. I pride myself in my ability to click with any creature I can and gain their trust!

Katelyn was great with our dogs while we were gone for the entire weekend. She sent updates with pictures and videos of them snoozing and playing. They seemed to be happy and felt safe with her. We’ll be using Katelyn’s services again!

I am unable to bring others pets into my own home but am comfortable in all environments. I can handle many types of energy levels as far as play, care and walking. I hope to bring my dog training knowledge into benefiting dogs that I visit regularly to help develope some healthy and productive routines.

I like to know if your pet has any weird quirks or personality traits or expectations. I love lists so if you have anything different as far as a feeding routine, medication or care you would need done for the animal I will want to do my best to follow it 100%.
A typical day
I like to make sure I go with the flow of what the animals needs! If you’re energetic let’s play, do some mental puzzles or easy basic cues for treats to burn down that mental energy. If we go out back or on a walk I want to encourage listening but also free time and sniffs and positive reinforcement for good behaviors.

Availability
I’m a new mother so I’m getting myself back into my swing of pet sitting and dog training around adjusting to that new role in my life. I have had dreams of opening my own sitting and dog training services in the near future and have some regular clients I see a couple times a month for let outs and animal care.
