Hi there! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I’m that girl at the social gathering on the floor cuddling with the dog. I LOVE animals, they are my soul! I feel, they are our family members and should be spoiled and cared for as such! I have always had animals in my family, especially dogs. For as long as I can remember, I’ve taken an interest in animals and an interest for caring for them. Amongst my friends and family, I am the “go-to” person to care for their animals when they need. I’ve done drop ins at pet’s homes, stayed overnight and also had dogs stay overnight in my own home. It is such a pleasure for me, it never feels like work. I work full time at a local animal hospital, earning less than half of what I was making in a job that I earned my bachelors degree for. Lucky for me, I’ve learned early in my life that success and happiness are not about earning the highest paying salary. I gave up “the salary” because animals are what fulfill me, not money. In my free time, I love spending time with my three dogs and horse. No dollar amount could ever be better than this! Although I love all animals, my expertise lies with dogs and horses. On the dog side, I have years under my belt working in a boarding/dc facility as well as a rescue shelter. I have experience handling many dogs at once, a variety of breeds, ages, medical and special needs, temperaments, etc.. NOTHING is off-putting to me, including “scary” dogs and blowout diarrhea, it has all been thrown my way before. While responsible for creating dog play groups in both the boarding/dc and shelter environments, i have gained knowledge to analyze and understand dog body language quite well, allowing me to respond to your pet’s immediate need most efficiently.
