I'm a teacher by trade and have worked in the field of education for 32 years, but I grew up with a menagerie of pets including dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, rabbits and even a boa constrictor snake. I have had a dog of my own for my entire adult life and have extensive experience caring for dogs for friends and family members. My current dogs, a red fox lab and an Italian Greyhound, are older special needs dogs that require extra care and I have learned a great deal through my experience with them. I am trustworthy, responsible, and reliable, and I absolutely adore animals. I will provide cuddles and much love while also making sure your pet's needs are fully met. I love walking, running and hiking, and I'm always delighted to have a canine companion by my side. I take pride in being absolutely reliable, responsible and trustworthy in your home, just as I do in my own. Since your beloved dog is a unique being like the rest of us, I stay sensitive to their individual needs of diet, exercise and sociability. Once they understand I am the pack leader, they can relax, play and enjoy themselves. At my home I make sure each dog has a relaxed, comfy place to relax, even if it's my lap! Lots of playtime outside and walks too.

Kate is the absolute best pet-sitter we have ever had. We have a Black lab. Kate has been taking care of him when we are gone a few times a year for a couple of years. I trust her implicitly. She stays at our house, which is always spotless when we return. She waters all of my potted plants in the Summer for no extra charge. The best part is that Kate just so obviously loves and cares for Franklin that we sometimes wonder if he likes her more than us!!! It is just so comforting to know that the person taking care of your dog is putting their all into it. I cannot recommend her highly enough - you will not go wrong hiring Kate.
Kate has taken care of our two dogs for weeks at a time over the last several years. One of them is pretty anxious and it is such a relief to have Kate caring for them both. You can definitely tell she is a veteran kindergarten teacher--you get the sense right away that she "gets" both people and animals. I can't recommend her highly enough. You will be blessed to have her caring for your animals and/or home.

I love all breeds of dogs and have had experiences with a wide variety. If caring for dogs in my home, I prefer that they are crate trained or 100% house broken.
A typical day
I love walking, running and hiking and enjoy having a canine companion with me at all times. I live within walking distance of a dog park and if your furry four-footed pooch enjoys interacting with other dogs we can play there. If not, I will happily give your pup one-on-one attention while walking, running or hiking.

Availability
I wake up early and take my canine charges for a long walk. I provide love and cuddles throughout the day and make sure all pets' needs are being met. I take them out for frequent potty breaks throughout the day and make sure they are getting plenty of play time and exercise.
