Hi everyone, I’m Kate, 34 years old and a huge lover of animals. I have a black lab called Otto who is 6 and my absolute world. He gets on very well with other dogs and we’d love to have some to stay and to take others on long walks to the river and parks. There’s plenty of walks around Frenchay, so we are spoilt for choice with the countryside, with the Cotswolds and Wye Valley a stones throw away. I love in Riverwood House with a large enclosed garden away from the main road. Frenchay common is just across the road from me so walks are very accessible. Otto is extremely well behaved. My parents have his brother and Otto is definitely the golden child so will set a good example for other dogs and is a great companion. We're so happy we found Kate and Otto. Going away and not being able to take our dog with us was a source of worry until we met Kate. After some test runs ahead of the trip, Juno had her very own holiday! Kate sent us lots of updates and photos showing how content our doggo was on long woodland walks and playing with other furry friends. Would highly recommend!
Kate is incredibly friendly and excellent at communicating with us. Humphrey loved his time with her and Otto. He can’t wait to go back, if she’ll let him
Kate was fantastic with our huntaway who can be a lot to manage at times! She had a lovely time with Kate and her other dogs and it was so reassuring that we could leave her with someone where we felt she was safe and looked after while we were away.
Kate was really accommodating, and put up with us changing times and being precious about food. All the photos showed Juno having a great time at the house and out on walks further afield with other dogs - which our pup loves! She came back and has just slotted back into our normal routine, which says a lot about how well she was looked after. Will definitely be back!

I have a fenced 25m garden off the main road. A large patio area too for lounging in the sun and a lower lawn area. Walks are very close to the house so Otto gets walked in the mornings and evenings or sometimes a longer one in the afternoon. Otto has breakfast and dinner between 7-8am and 5-6pm. Again, happy to fit another dogs routine into ours. Otto is very flexible :)

I’m a mature student studying Architecture so in lectures October - April 3 times a week for around 3 hours each. Other than that I do all of my assignments at home with Otto by my side. I have a big lounge where my desk is so we sit together - mostly he sleeps while I draw :) I was in the Army for 10 years prior to starting my degree so have excellent time management and communication skills. My schedule during the summer is very flexible and naturally evolves around Otto. Long walks, camping, climbing mountains and dog friendly pubs all feature highly. I’d be able to easily fit other dogs into my routine and customise my day to their needs.
