I grew up around cats and dogs of all sizes, learning to care for them and understand their various needs from a young age. I have helped train my family’s rescue dogs and have been involved in the house breaking and training of clients’ new puppies. I am comfortable with anxious dogs, senior dogs, puppies and Giant Breeds (our last two dogs were both Great Danes). I am comfortable administering medication (oral, eye drops, etc) and am able to work with quite a flexible schedule.

Kate was amazing from the start. She came twice to meet Lucy before the date and instantly bonded . She was super attentive to sending messages all day and lots of photos and I could tell Lucy was relaxed and comfortable . they went on daily BIG walks and had lots of fun . She was definitely someone you'd want to give the key to your house to - just very responsible and reliable. She left the house neater than she'd found it and I could tell Lucy was looking for her when I got home ! She's a keeper and I would definitely book again !!
Kate did an excellent job, both taking care of the dogs and keeping us informed with plenty of pictures! We feel so comfortable when they are in her care.
This was our second time having Kate stay with our dogs and she did a great job. She even noticed that our newly adopted pup was licking a spot and took her to the vet for us where she was diagnosed with an infection and medication started. Kate is incredibly responsible and extremely observant. We appreciate her so much and feel at ease when traveling knowing she is with our pups!

I understand that each animal is unique and will do my best to make sure their individual needs are met, whether that includes extra supervision, longer walks, or just less time spent alone!

A typical day
I love going on long walks or hikes, playing tug of war and snuggling up on the couch. If you have a puppy, I have experience in house breaking and training basic commands. I am also experienced with anxious dogs, senior dogs, giant breeds and puppies so a typical day may look different depending on your pet’s needs!

Availability
I just graduated from my masters, but am still working (hybrid) for my research lab. I will be out for only a few hours at a time during the week and my schedule is flexible to accommodate your pet’s needs. If your pet requires medications or anything at a specific time, please just reach out!
