Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs plus I've got a Marine biology degree and over 5 years experience of professional animal care where I gained experience caring for fish, amphibians, reptiles and small mammals. I have experience issuing medication here as well as for family dogs. We had a mixture of rescues as well as a puppy when I was at home so I've got experience walking, feeding and caring for dogs since I was little. I live with a lovely cat who unfortunately doesn't get on with dogs so I can't have boarders with me, but I've very happy to come to you if you need overnight care.

Kate is a second mum to my cat Graham, often looking after him when I'm away. I always come home to a very happy well fed cat who has probably been treated to even more cuddles then usual. She often sends me reassuring photos, is kind hearted friendly and communicative. I'd highly recommend her.
Kate is so fantastic with our very anxious little dog, Della. She is super patient and calming, but also confident and seems very experienced with dogs that need extra attention. Kate stayed in our house for a week whilst we were away, looking after Della, and she was incredibly respectful and could barely tell she had been there. What’s more Della was very relaxed when we returned from holiday, like nothing had happened and all her needs (attention, exercise, sofa snuggles) had been perfectly met. Highly recommend!!

I'll be keeping their needs at the forefront of my mind and ensure they have all the attention they require, whether that's just at a drop in, a walk or overnight stays. I'll always take into account any direction you as an owner have given me on their care and ensure your pet has a wonderful time with me.

Do you have any specific dietary requirements for your pet? Are there any things they should avoid food or toy-wise? Are their specific breeds they do or don't get on with? Anything else I should be aware of?
A typical day
I'll take dogs out in the morning for a good walk to stretch (our) legs! I'll make sure they're fed once home and got plenty to drink and settle them down for a chill out. For younger dogs I'll be sure to find them their favourite toy to play with them for a bit and older dogs might just want a good fuss and a cuddle for the afternoon. I'll take them out again in the later afternoon/evening for another walk, longer for those with more energy. Dinner time once home and a rest or play again depending on energy levels. For cats, I'll make sure they have plenty of attention when they want it, entertain them with any toys they might have. I'll make sure they've got fresh water above their food and ensure it's topped up when needed. Any dietary preferences I'd take into account.

Availability
I work Tues to Thurs (I can work from home on these days) and I am free on Monday and Friday. When I'm working, I can be flexible through the day between meetings for any toilet breaks, walks, medication, cuddles etc. On Mondays, Fridays and weekends, I can be flexible too and have more space for longer walks etc.
