Pet care experience
I live in a spacious, pet friendly apartment in NE Portland. I don't have any pets of my own right now, but I grew up taking care of cats and dogs and I've watched pets for clients for over 10 years! I'm comfortable and patient taking care of pets that require special care - old, young, disabled, anxious, on medication, etc. - as I have loved and cared for such pets for many years.

My apartment is located in a quiet, dog friendly neighborhood. I don't have a yard but your dog will enjoy a nice walk with me as often as it needs. Your cat will stay inside at all times. Feel free to bring things like crates, toys, scratching posts - and don't forget to bring the essentials like food, pet dishes, litter boxes, and doggy poo bags. I keep my apartment very clean and free of choking hazards.

I'd also love to know about your pet's health and their typical eating and behavioral habits - How often do you feed them? How often do you walk them? Are they crate trained? Are they leash trained? How do they do around other dogs? What's their favorite toy? What commands do they know?
A typical day
I love to take dogs out on a walk to the little café near 7th and Knott, or through Irving Park. There's lots to see and smell around the neighborhood. At home, pets are welcome on the sofa or bed to snuggle if they want. I'll entertain them with any toys you want to leave by. I'm a big tug of war fan!

I work from home as a solar engineer, and I can step away from work as often as needed for outside time, feeding, or play. I won't leave the apartment for more than 2-3 hours at a time when I'm hosting a pet.
