Pet care experience
We previously hosted dogs for boarding on Rover, but when we adopted three rescue bunnies into our family we paused that. Our buns have made us realize how important it is to have someone who you trust and your animals love be able to come and check in on them in their home environment - so we now do home visits!

Kate, Mark and their family took excellent care of our 8 year old golden retriever for 2 weeks. About a month before our trip we took our dog over for a “meet and greet” to see how she would get along with the family and their dog. This went smoothly, so we reserved her stay. A couple days before our departure we dropped off our dog for a 2-3 hour visit to really test her out. Everything went well. While we were away, Kate texted us and sent photos every couple of days and assured us that our dog was safe and happy. We are so grateful that they treated her like a member of the family, lavishing her with love and attention. I would highly recommend Kate and Mark for dog sitting.

It was our first time using Rover to leave our young dog Tippi sleep at someone else's place for two nights, and we could not be happier about this experience! Kate and Mark are very responsive, they gave us great tips about what to bring, and they took care of our little doggy very well. Tippi had a blast with the resident dog Stella and with the family. We highly recommend Kate and Mark!

Because we have children we cannot host any dogs with a history of aggression or fear of children. If your dog does not like to play with other dogs, this might not be the best fit because our dog is always initiating play time.
A typical day
Beach walks, trail hikes, sunny naps, and backyard games of fetch. Let us know how your pup likes to spend his or her time and we'll make sure it's a great vacation. We do keep all guest dogs on leash when outside our yard for safety.

Availability
Visits are often scheduled after dropping our kids off at school or before picking them up in the afternoons. We can also do evening and weekend visits.
