Peak pet care in the desert!!

Pet care experience

I’m working for Rover because I miss being around dogs! I grew up with a Basset Hound and Beagle mix named Spencer who would howl to punk rock and couldn’t go for a walk without making a new friend. As a teenager, I volunteered with a Greyhound rescue. I’ve had my own dogs as an adult, and sometimes I look after my mom’s dog. But right now, I live in an apartment and can’t keep a dog of my own, and I miss their constant companionship so much! Not that I can complain so much about where I live. Arizona is perfect for an outdoorsy woman like me! I'm an avid hiker and hit the trail at least 5-6 times a week, and if your dog is up to it, I’ll gladly take them along. And we’re so lucky to live where dogs are permitted almost anywhere so I’d love to take a pooch wherever I go! I’m currently attending college online, so my schedule is very flexible, meaning I can provide your pooch plenty of attention. I’ll gladly take on any breed. I have done some obedience training with my own dogs in the past. I'm more than happy to teach some simple commands to your pup. And if Rover were to open up their services to other animals, I have experience with cats, horses, ferrets, rabbits and hamsters. I really just love animals—they are so full of personality! A meet-and-greet should be a calm affair, where everyone is honest and authentic. We should properly introduce ourselves to each other, and then maybe take your dog for a short walk or a toy session so we can both see how they get along with me. I’m so excited for the opportunity to have a dog regularly in my life once again! Let’s chat and see if your dog will join me on the adventure!

I've known Kate personally for about a decade now and she is an absolute saint with animals. She's owned pups herself and is a very responsible and caring pet owner. She's not afraid of any size as she's worked with horses her whole life. So big or small, Kate can handle any sweet pup. She's outgoing and adventurous so I'm sure that your pup would have the time of it's life in her hands. I'd not only trust her with my dog, but any critter quite frankly. Whether your furry family member is big or small, a couch potato or an outdoor enthusiast, Kate is the pupsitting gal for you.

Kate is a caring, responsible animal lover. She grew up in the 4-H Program with all sorts of animals at home and is knowledgeable of their care. You can trust that your pet will be in good hands with her!

Information Kate M. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know any quirks that I would need to be mindful of, for instance, toy/food/dog aggression, potty habits, or any anxiety.

A typical day

My favorite place to take a dog is Chaparral Park—it provides wide open, paved spaces for pups to walk and be safe. I also think Cactus Park and Horizon Park are great for dogs. And if your dog is up for hiking, I’d be happy to hit the closest trail! At the end of the day, after we've gotten our pent up energy out, I love hitting the couch for snuggles and TV time.
