I have a ton of experience working with dogs and animals in general. I've grown up with dogs- we have Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Huskies grow up. Currently my husband and I have two our own, a Black Lab and a Great Pyrenees. My hope is that my Great Pyr will eventually become a therapy dog. In addition to my experience with dogs, I work at the Zoo so I obviously love animals and have experience handling animals using positive training techniques. I am currently available Mondays and Fridays, and a little on the weekends. My availability will be changing during the summer when my classes change. I am currently finishing up my Master's Degree in counseling and I hope to integrate animals into the therapeutic experience. I look forward to talking with you! During the week we wake up around 5:30am (on the weekends it's a little later). We immediately take the dogs out and for a quick walk. We then feed them and take them out several times more before leaving for work around 8am. I do work part time so on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday I am at work during the day and not at home. When I come home (around 3:30pm) they go out again and I get my kids from school. We then walk them again after dinner. In the evening we spend a lot of time either outside (depending on the weather) or in our living room with our pets. We will play ball, they will wrestle, or sometimes they just want to cuddle. The usually eat dinner around 7pm. On the days that I am not at work I try to provide another walk a little after lunch time. Our neighborhood is a great one for walking dogs so we usually go around there and they will get to meet lots of the neighborhood dogs as well as the neighbors!
