Pet care experience
I took a hiatus break due to the Pandemic, and then I got my own sweet fur girl. I spent some time training her to prepare for co-existing with dogs that may stay with us! We can do a meet and greet to see if the dogs get along! Riley, my girl, loves making new friends! I will ask questions about how YOU would like your dog to be taken care of. Rules, methods, and so forth. I will also keep you updated during his/her stay with photos and videos! Background: Growing up, I had 4 huskies and a mixed border collie at once. I am familiar with the proper care for dogs. I am usually the guest that will pay more attention to the furry animals than the people at a party. I am a lot of fun, responsible and respectful. I am active and love to be outside as much as possible.

Kate the Great! was the best Pet sitter I have hired for my little Peanut! She instantly clicked with my dog in the first few minutes of meeting him and had him contently resting in her arms as I was standing there. (I know my jaw dropped and I kept saying "I could not believe it" as not only is Peanut a giant scaredy cat but he also doesn't let strangers just pick him up - especially if I am nearby. I was really quite impressed and astonished with Kate’s immediate bond with Peanut. Those first few minutes spoke volumes and told me all I really needed to know about Kate. It was very apparent and showed completely during our "Meet'N'Greet" how much she cared for and loved animals by the way she was holding, talking to and playing with my little dog. It is for these reasons that I felt very comfortable leaving my Peanut in Kate's capable hands. On the day that I left, I was running behind and did not have enough time to write down everything I had wanted to do for Kate - plus I had not left my dog behind in a long time so I was really missing him... Kate took great care of Peanut and she was a Pro! Here I was a Nervous Nelly thinking of all the things that I forgot and, in the meanwhile, Kate had it all under control. She would send me photos and the cutest videos of my dog chasing toys so I could see how my Peanut was doing! Kate made an extra effort to be available at certain times of the day so that she could dispensing medication the Vet had just called in. Though I only used Kate for a very short period of time, I would absolutely use her again and again and again. I know she has Peanut’s vote as he still looks around for her in “her room” sometimes. It was truly a blessing to find Kate and I will be using her again in the future!
Kate stayed at our home for 8 days in July and handled our two, needy, high-energy border collies. One of our dogs was abused and is very reactive to new people, so Kate went our of her way to ease the process by making two house visits before the trip. Kate is kind and patient and made sure they had enough exercise. They got along beautifully! Kate is highly recommended.
Kate took wonderful care of our 4 month old puppy and almost 9 year old dog. She sent us photos and updates several times each day (which was what we had requested and she delivered!)! Our pups were very well taken care of and seemed very happy when we arrived home. Kate left our home in great order as well. Kate is such a warm and caring person -- we recommend her wholeheartedly and will use her again in the future!
Completely wonderful experience from our initial meeting thru weeklong house sitting. This was our first time having sitter in our home and we were so glad we met Kate. One of our dogs is a senior who is blind and hard of hearing and they bonded from first meeting. Our other dog is rescue dog after tolerating six years of constant breeding, so is more cautious with strangers. Kate was patient and so kind that within two days they were cuddling on couch together. Would highly recommend.

I would appreciate light information or background information about the dog. any allergies, meds, typical behavior, chewing or destroying anything, I really would appreciate a total honest communications. I do not have a preference but due to my roommate- she isn't comfortable around pitbulls.

we will go on plenty of walks, attention, and playtime. I usually love to take my girl for car rides and of course yours will be included in what we are doing!
