In the five years that I lived with Kate, I found her to be active and responsible. For two of those years, we lived with a beautiful husky called Alaska. Though Alaska belonged to a third roommate, Kate took the reins (or in this case, leash) and was a crucial caregiver to Alaska, and balanced her responsibilities in college and at work with making sure that Alaska was walked, fed and loved. Though I have seen Kate interact with many dogs and countless other animals, from hamsters to chickens, Kate's most cherished canine relationship was with her childhood dog Niki, who lived to be 16 years old under Kate's attentive care. Niki went everywhere with Kate, and almost certainly catalyzed a lifelong affinity for pets of all shapes and sizes.

When I first met Kate she wouldn't stop talking about how much she loved her childhood dog named Niki, and it was clear how much she loved animals. Since then Kate has watched the dogs/houses of many friends. She is responsible, enthusiastic, and a good communicator. I absolutely think she would be a great fit for rover given her love of pets and her active lifestyle.
