I have over two decades of personal experience caring for dogs and knowledge of dog behavior as well as 7 years of professional experience as a dog trainer and canine behaviorist. This is my job so I take it seriously, and am licensed and insured. Please take comfort in knowing that your dog is being cared for by a professional that is home with them. I only accept 1-2 dogs at a time for boarding so your dog is able to get one on one attention from me. I accept any breed and don’t discriminate. I have experience with any and all kinds of dogs, working police K9, sport dogs, service dogs, rescue dogs, as well as reactive or fearful dogs.

Complete peace of mind leaving our fur baby with Kate! Not only did she offer a safe and fun place for Henry while we were away, she exceeded our expectations and took extra time and attention helping with training basics and 1:1 sessions with our 10 month old GSP. GREAT communication and frequent check-in's on how he was settling in, including lots of pictures! We will definitely be using her again for future boarding needs and training while we're away. I had a great experience with Kate! This was my first time using Rover for pet sitting and was amazed at how smoothly everything went. Her willingness to help us last minute was an absolute lifesaver, and her extensive experience and knowledge in dog behaviors and training truly set her apart. Information Kate M. would like to know about your pet
Dogs must be crate trained or used to being gated/contained for safety reasons (ie. while they eat and sleep). This is not for extended times but for times when we have to leave, sleep, etc. If there is a question regarding this or a special circumstance please let me know. Your dog must be up-to-date on vaccines and flea/tick medication. I’d love to know what your dog likes- whether it be walks, cuddling on the couch, or showing me his/her tricks! Think of me as the “fun aunt”- I want your dog to come here excited, happy, have blast, and go home tired.
A typical day
I enjoy spending time playing relationship building games, like tug, with the dogs. We also often go for walks, play ball and wander the trails or open fields nearby.

I work from home and create my own schedule so aside from doing consults or sessions at a clients home for training, I’m rarely gone for more than 2 hours at a time. Dogs generally get to go outside for playtime and/or potty breaks every two hours. We spend as much time outside as they want and as weather allows.
