Professional Pet Care for 18yrs
Pet care experience
Hello neighbors, I'm Kate, mother of Tucker, the oldest puggle (17 years and counting...). I've had Tucker his whole life, and other pets (cats, dogs, rabbits, turtles, fish...) for my whole life! I am a certified death doula, and have been blessed to be able to support several canine clients in their closing periods. If you need specialized “dog hospice” service, please reach out, and we can discuss. And if you want something challenging for a wild pup, I also offer daily hikes (of at least 2-‘5 miles; about 90 minutes)--which is how I keep Tucker young :) Hikes: $60 (message me)

Nice and understanding of us, our needs
Kate took great care of Bonnie while our family enjoyed exploring the Santa Fe Indian Market. Bonnie had so much fun and loved spending time with Tucker. We appreciate Kate sharing photos with us and being so accommodating with our plans.
Kate and Natalie took great care of our kitties while we were away. We came back to them safe and sound and they took great care of our home.
We recently moved to the area and have had the great pleasure of meeting Kate who is now our go-to dog provider. We have nothing but positive things to say about Kate and her services. From the moment I contacted her, she was very professional and attentive to my needs as a pet owner. During our initial consultation, she took the time to get to know Riley and also asked me about any specific instructions and/or preferences I had regarding her care. I appreciated her attention to detail and felt reassured that Riley would be in good hands. She also brought along her ever so sweet dog named Tucker. Whenever she walks Riley, she makes a point to provide us with regular updates and sends us photos of their adventures. Additionally, our dog is not the easiest to walk since she’s a constant puller but Kate is so patient and caring with her. We can tell how much Riley loves being with Kate; just hearing Kate’s name makes her immediately run to the window in anticipation for Kate’s arrival. Overall, I highly recommend Kate for all of your dog’s needs. She is so sweet, professional, reliable, and truly cares about the well-being of the pets she cares for. If you are like us, you treat your dog like family. And without a shadow of doubt, we know that Riley is in great hands whenever she is with Kate.

I am a Wilderness First Responder, and also trained in various animal emergency situations, can administer pills, inhalers, and injections. In addition to a lifetime of my own pets, I have many years of professional pet care experience, as well! If you're worried about your pup's breed or behavioral issues--fear not. Though Tucker outlived his pit bull sis, I had 12 wonderful years with her (despite some aggression) and I started out in pet care at a bully breed facility in Chicago that specialized in dogs no one else would take. If you think this situation applies to you, we can chat about special pricing and situations for your needs. In my years of petcare, I have had many high profile and celebrity clients, and I am comfortable handling whatever procedures you need to keep you feeling safe with someone new in your home.

Information Kate L. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs, diet, medication, anxiety, or behavioral triggers (such as barking when behind a fence or aggression on leash). It's also helpful to know how to make your pet feel safe and calm for moments I do need to step out, if applicable--what's your routine for entering and exiting, etc?
A typical day
I walk Tucker twice a day, and we take at least one hike (of at least 3-5 miles; about 90 minutes). For daycare clients, I include at least one long walk and plenty of outdoor time. Tucker is old, but still loves to play, and there is always a lot of cuddle puddle time.
