Home from home for small dogs

Pet care experience

VERY SORRY NOT TAKING ANY NEW PUPS AT THE MOMENT - existing pups only ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Large house & garden, with play & quiet areas, and cuddle sofa :-) Dog guard fitted to estate car with car tethering points. Walks at Southwick Hill, Waterhall, Greenlees, lancing dew pond, Hollingbury & the old victorian railway line to mention a few. We do beach walks near carats during the cooler season & calm low tides. Before I agree to look after your dog, I like & ask that you bring your dog(s) to my house for a meetup. I like to get to know your dog, establish initial rapport, find out about likes, dislikes & your dogs personality to ensure that they'll fit in & will be happy with the existing small breeds i look after; ranging in ages from 4 months to 11 years old. I am unable take un-neutered older dogs as all my current dogs are either neutered or very young. I only look after after small breeds, and therefore I do not take on large breeds as this can make the small breeds I look after anxious. Should there not be enough time for a two way meet up, please see below for what i need to know about your pup before considering a placement. Please also send photo's of you with your dog and your dog in their favourite place at home. * Behaviour. Socialisation level. Likes/dislikes. * Any allergies / medical / history. * Age, gender & breed, confirmation of the pup is neutered (unless too young yet) * Contact with children, other pets, people. (behaviour with strangers) * Type of food (raw, non-raw, dry, wet, mixed). When & how often fed. Chews/treats given. * Usual water drinking container (ie stainless steel, silicon (travel), china) * Grooming and feet contact * Where pup(s) usually sleeps and on what bedding. Hours. * Usual walk length. * If a harness is worn, will also require a collar. (I do keep spares here) I have always had dogs in my life & follow Jan Fennells teachings and philosophy. I have done/do TrustedHouseSits, Borrowmydoggy, AirBNB, had students for many years so I am DBS checked etc. I've dealt with rescue dogs, problem pups, puppies, dogs in season, and special need pups. I love them all. I provide a loving, fun & safe environment. I can also help out with behavioural issues that your dog may have - pulling on leads, anxiety etc, this will entail a few modifications to the owners approach in the main :). I am on 'whatsapp' and send pictures/videos of your dog during their stay with me. :) Pup Hugs Gemma Kate x

Gemma is a completely trustworthy super friendly and attuned dog sitter. During our holiday she sent video and pics daily and Dylan loved his holiday break with his new pooch friends. Gemma really understands dogs and has a gentle yet firm approach based on understanding your dogs unique language. She’s amazing and I’m so pleased to have found her. Highly recommended.

Kate looked after Archie over a long weekend and he had a fabulous time. She regularly sent videos of their walks and playtimes and I could tell he was having a lot of fun. I will definitely take Archie to Kate again she’s fab.
