Pet care experience
By day, I am a licensed clinical social worker working within the MaineHealth system (Mon through Thurs)...and I am looking for dogs to take me for walks on my days off. I am especially attentive to the needs of elderly dogs, but will walk and care for dogs of all ages. I also have experience caring for cats, and farm animals (including milking goats and chickens). Available anytime on Fridays and some weekends. I may also be available some afternoons when needed for visits on Monday through Thursday. Can also provide extended vacation care and housesitting for $50-60/day. I have my own dog—a 17 lb terrier mix and have spent time consistently caring for dogs in my neighborhood. I have many references that I would be happy to provide.

Maddie loves it when Kate takes care of her. I never have a second thought, because Maddie is in such confident and loving hands, and she is not the easiest dog to walk. She's a GSP with a lot of energy, who always wants more. Kate is responsible, game, and caring. Highly recommended!

I would like to know if your dog gets along well with others or not. I have no problem trying to avoid other dogs on walks if your dog doesn't like others, but also willing to bring your dog to a dog park if they enjoy being social.

Walks along the Western Prom, Eastern Prom, neighborhood strolls, beach visits when beaches are open to dogs, Mackworth Island explorations, not too many treats (conscious of dog's dietary needs and restrictions), unconditional love and attention.
