I grew up with dogs (Labradors ) and in 2020 sadly lost my 13 year old boy . I’ve not got another due to my future plans not being compatible with ownership . I’ve enjoyed family and friends dogs that I have borrowed / cared for ! I’m very positive , though firm too with behaviour expectations .

Kate Hill is a great animal lover and she especially loves dogs. She has had dogs all her life, her most recent dog Freddie, passed away 3 years ago. She has cared for several of my dogs over the years, two of them for a period of 4 months. On my return my dogs were very happy, relaxed, well-nourished and had obviously been very well cared for in my absence. She more recently cared for my labrador and again I returned to a very contented dog. Kate undoubtedly fully understands what is involved in the all-round care of a dog, both the practical aspects of good nourishment and exercise but also the loving attention that most dogs love. Dogs are family , and enjoy strokes and companionships , however I do have boundaries and expectations which dogs (visiting ) have responded well to - these include not going on the furniture or upstairs . They also go in their bed or out of the room when people are eating ! Overnight stays will be in a crate (with comfy bed of course )

Please let me know if your dog has extra needs , is anxious , a barker ,chewer , what they are like off the lead and with other dogs !!! This will allow me to be prepared .
A typical day
I have a dog park within walking distance (not private hire ; which allows for self contained exercise if recall is an issue ) I walk along the river / ferry meadows . Crown lakes is an option if the dog travels well jn the car !

I work predominantly from home in the week, though I do leave the house during the day / evenings for a maximum of 2 hours.
