Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm with a mama who loved rescue pets, and I’ve been dog, cat, horse, goat, rabbit and chicken-whispering ever since! While in college, I started working as a professional petsitter both for agencies and on my own, by way of friends’ referrals and here on Rover! In the meantime, I’ve been a waitress, a housekeeper, a gardener, a talent manager, and worked in publishing, but spending time with critters is still my favorite place to be.

Kate's way with animals is obvious immediately, and Daisy loved hanging out with her while I was gone for a long weekend. I came home to a happy, healthy dog and got action shots of Daisy having fun each day. Book her now -- you won't regret it!
Kate is the only sitter I trust with my emotional support pug, Otis! He gets so excited when she visits, it’s like he doesn’t notice I’m away. She is considerate, attentive, responsive, sends great updates, and obviously cares for my fur baby like he’s her own.
Kate is a nurturer of all living things and goes above and beyond to ensure that animals (and plants and people) have what they need to thrive. Growing up on a farm with horses means they know all about caring for animals!

As far as boarding goes: I have a thoroughly puppy-proofed apartment, with a large, securely fenced courtyard, and a sweet old cat who could not be chiller. If your dog is a sociable guy, I have wonderful neighbors with sweet, playful pups as well- but if not, there’s no problem with your pet preferring privacy! When it comes to in-home care, my time with a professional petsitting agency taught me to be a thoughtful, considerate houseguest who picks up really quickly on your pet’s needs.

I’m currently between jobs and really enjoying all the time I have to write, garden, ride my bike, learn new trades- and of course, hang with pups! All this to say: I have an extremely flexible schedule, and whatever you and your pet needs, I will almost definitely be happy to make it happen!
