Sorry, folks- I greet the dog first
Pet care experience
After many years in the boarding and doggy daycare business, I'm committed to providing a higher, more personalized level of care. It's difficult to treat pets as you treat your own when you're responsible for so many! I've been mom and god-mom to a plethora of species- from the usual mammals to the more exotic birds and reptiles. Currently, my charges consist of two dogs, a bearded dragon, a gecko, a cat, a boyfriend, and countless house plants. What I'm good at: -Feeding and administering meds, including subcutaneous injections (insulin, fluids) -Wrestling, tug-of-war, fetch, and cuddles -Some training (sit, wait, shake, no-don't-eat-that) When I'm available: With enough notice, any time. Basically, I'm that girl at the party (who obviously doesn't take herself too seriously) that would rather hang out with the resident dog than the other two-legged guests.
Reviews
Like many pet owners, I am extremely particular about whom I entrust my pets to. In all regards, Kate has proved to be a stellar caregiver who has surpassed my high expectations. A warm and personable woman, she clearly loves animals of all types and sizes and possesses the mysterious ability to bond quickly and permanently with them. All you need to do is watch Kate interact with your pet to be convinced of her skills and talents. During the past five years, I have employed Kate many times--sometimes for a short period and, more frequently for ten days to two weeks--and have always been pleased. Her honesty and reliability are beyond reproach--I feel completely comfortable leaving her with the house key and with our pet. In addition to feeding, exercising, and playing with Jackson, Kate also takes in our mail and newspapers on a daily basis. Should a medical emergency arise with our pet in our absence, I have the utmost confidence Kate would know what to do. As lagniappe, she even takes photos of your pet and emails them to you. I can go on and on, but will end with giving Kate an enthusiastic four-paws up rating.

Information Kate E. would like to know about your pet
Though I certainly have favorite breeds ( like, ALL the big ones), I pretty much love anything with paws. I will need to know about allergies, if a pup has any recurring medical conditions, or random triggers (I once had a dog that was terrified of tennis balls).
A typical day
Active dogs can expect to chase a tennis ball, go swimming at the Eno, or walk through Duke Forest. Less active and older dogs will be spoiled with home-made treats, sunshine-naps, and plenty of sofa snuggles.
